The cannon moving would be sick. If i would be playing with my brother back then it would look so cool and wouldnt break the immersion. Now im watching the rocket part. oh uh

We all know that the most useless play features are all the stud and spring loaded shooters, the risk of loosing those pieces was so high that I didn't use it even as a kid
@crazydog1750

😂😂 Same though. One time I lost a spring-loaded shooter piece down a vent in the floor and I did not stop crying until my uncle who was visiting took off the vent and reached down to retrieve it.

I disagree with spring loaded, I actually had a lot of fun with those. Stud shooters... yeah, I'm really happy they brought back normal blasters back for figures.

In my opinion, the set 75137- Carbonite freezing chamber has the most useless play feature. Hidden uder the main platform, there is something like a lever, that moves a brick in a certain way. This is so useless that most people (me included) don't even know what it is supposed to mean😂.

Oh really? I don’t own that one so it didn’t come to mind when I was making this video but I’ll have to watch a review or something now. 😂

I know exactly what youre talking about. I think its either supposed to be the torture device used on Han Solo in cloud city, or its the bed that slides out of the wall in the prison, but regardless, its so bad that its unrecognizable.

On that last set, if I had it I would use the lever if I was making a cool “scene”

Those 4 doors on the AT-AT were one of my favorite features to play with when I was a kid. That set brought me countless hours of fun memories.

Honestly the umbaran MHC cannon feature isn’t all that bad compared to the 2014 AT-AT’s front and back flaps

Really? I always thought you could at least pretend that it’s an engine room or something. Albeit a really bad engine room, lol. Yeah, the flaps are kinda amusing.

About the AT-AT animation, they always just show things the set can do, that aren't necessarily play features, just a thing that's possible

The cannon looks cooler when it moves autonomously. I kinda do have the Umbaran Cannon. It came disassembled in a box of Legos I was given for free 5 years ago from a 16 year old who was done with his Legos. I have never assembled it as it may be missing some pieces and Ahsoka and the clone trooper weren’t included. Should I still build it regardless?

The canon thing is great, it’s makes the top of it look like it’s moving on its own. Could easily attach technic to it to extend it.

Ah, fair enough. I wouldn’t have been creative enough as a kid to do that. 😆

Yea my same exact thought, and for when I did stop start animations as a kid, would be way cooler to move it with that and have it be so smooth

For me its the tie fighter launcher on the imperial light cruiser. Its cool in theory but the only way to use it is to take the top off and expose the control room, making it incredibly out of scale and pointless

I guess the lever on the tank was to make the cannon look like it was spinning on its own to add to the “coolness” and storytelling factor for kids? Idk I never owned the set

To be honest, I kind of disagree with the umbarian cannon play feature placement. I am always for any play features that hide movement of certain parts. However, I do think it could have been done in a bettee way.

You are incorrect about those doors on the AT-AT. The other models also don't use those spaces. Now what the other models do have though is more interior space and more stuff on the inside, so that I do agree about that. But the other models don't use those doors in particular for extra space.
@crazydog1750

The 2020 and 2002 AT-ATs both use the space in the back for a speeder bike, and the 2020 AT-AT uses the front for a gear mechanism that allows you to raise and lower Luke Skywalker.
@aydenjenkins8760

@@crazydog1750 True, but I meant those doors in particular. The speeder in the 2003 and 2020 AT-AT is stored in the back and accessed from the back. The doors on the sides are there for additional room to get the speeder out.

i had the umbaran heavy canon when i was a kid and when i was making stopmotions i used it to move the canon in a video instead of frame by frame as i could move the cannon without having my hands visable in the frame. so it had a niche use for me
