That's why it is important to ensure that whatever we say is kind and useful. Lest messages be misconstrued. Thank you very much for the reminder. 🙏

I have for years realized that what people say, and what is heard, are very different things. Explained very well. There is an error in your presentation, from my experience. Your solution assumes two authentic Take home message # 3, assumes you are dealing with two authentic people in a relationship each of them cares very much about. That is not true with, for example, a used car salesman. In those cases, take home message #3 is not wise. Take home message #3 is helpful and wise when engaging someone equally interested in truthfulness and closeness and understanding. In the world of business and other places where you expect a lot of deception, it's insane to apply take home message #3. My point here may be a "no brainer" for most people. But truly, I did not realize this until I learned it the hard way. Good video.

Thanks for adding these cautionary words. They resonate with me. Yes, opening up and attempting to clear up possible miscommunication on a personal level is not advisable with every person we interact with, rather only people we are close with. I've also come to realize by personal experience that some people can act unscrupulously and may use any vulnerable information they have against someone else - and that it's wise to keep emotional/personal distance from them.

Excellent, the best explanation of Von Thum's square of communication. Until today I had only found it in German. You nailed it. Hugs from Mauai, Brazil.

Summary: according to a theory by German psychologist Schnitzel von Chips humans cannot understand each other because God wants them to be miserable and emotionally unfulfilled so maybe it's best to sit quietly in the corner and find a hobby. Thank you for watching. Don't forget to subscribe. The end.
