hey adrian, i hope you read this. please cover the very recent case of Sanda Dia, a case from belgium. he died after a fraternity did terrible things to him so that he could join them. the guys who did it are all sons of very rich and important people, and they are being protected. last friday it was announced that they only have to do 200-300 hours of community service and pay a 400 euro fine for his murder. the details and footage available are horrifying. this case needs international recognition so please, please cover it. a video by you could get a lot of attention and that’s what this case desperately needs. i can’t sleep because of this case. edit: since this got a lot of attention, i want to share more details. this case happened in 2018, but the “sentences” were decided past friday. that’s why i called it a recent case, it’s getting a lot of attention again and it very much needs it. by terrible things i mean (please continue reading with caution!) they made him drink 1.5 L of gin. completely intoxicated, he could barely walk (there’s video’s of him). they didn’t give him and the other two participants (who managed to survive, thank god) any water. they made them dig a hole and filled it with cold water and made them sit in it. they peed on their faces. they pooped on them while they were knocked out by all the alcohol. they forced them to swallow a live goldfish. they tried to make them throw up the goldfishes back out alive. they made them drink a lot of fish oil, which is 1/4th part salt. they made them eat live mouses. they made them drink milkshakes made of mouses and roaches and whatnot. sanda was doing terrible and barely responding. there’s a picture of him laying on the ground in fetus position. they called him the n-word multiple times. they sang songs throughout the night, glorifying belgium’s colonizing past. they called h*tler their best buddy from germany. they waited too long, before realizing sanda may need help. they put him in the trunk of their car, not treating him like a human being and brought him to a hospital like that. they lied to the hospital about what had happened. they let one or a few members behind so they could clean up and hide the evidence. they deleted their messages (during the night they texted pictures and videos of the things they made them do to a group filled with old and current members). sanda’s heart stopped, he was in a coma for two days and his organs started failing (a combination of too much alcohol, too much salt in his body and being cold and wet all night long). his temperature got to 27.5 degrees celsius and he didn’t make it. he had such a great future ahead of him. he just wanted to join them because it was known that guys from that fraternity had good connections and could get great jobs. as a black young man, sanda wanted that for himself. instead he died in a terrible way. and all those guys are being protected. so what if their identities got leaked? i hope their lives get ruined, just like how they took away sanda’s life from him. justice will find a way.

The first sign of an explosive temper or physical abuse - walk away and save your own life, or at the very least, your peace of mind. For usually, those who exhibit violent tendencies are rarely redeemable and this is because the behavior is usually entrenched.

You are so so right, Adrian, that unwanted images will continue to appear anywhere on platforms when least expected. "Unwanted" means many things to many people - the biggest for me is animal abuse without warning. Despite his "diminshed brain capacity due to alcoholism", this perpetrator knew what he was doing as he left many notifications and publicly posted photos.

What a remorseless pos. He is a vile monster, not an animal because they do serve a purpose. You said it completely. The world loses nothing by him being incarcerated. Those poor children, not only dealing with her murder but having seen her dead desecrated nude body photos online. I can only imagine the effects it would have on a young boy. There isn't enough prison time/torture that would ever compare to what he did to her. Just senseless and sickening him fully knowing one of her sons would find her body.

This is why I distrust even casual edgelords. These are their most prominent representatives, and "edgy" online behavior/community discourse combined with unhealthy personal lifestyle and habits is an unsurprisingly slippery slope to stuff like this, regardless of how hard people pretend and insist it isn't. Unless you're an actual child/teenager, being an internet or real life edgelord is a critical red flag.

@@Justintime619 Well, I won't argue about that, I think you are right. What I meant is that sometimes people in relationships don't see those flags or (maybe) rather don't want to see them. I don't use AI generators anymore. I once entered a pretty generic prompt - something like "apocalypse". What I got back was a strange collage of images featuring humanish figures. Quite a few looked very young, and quite a few were nude or seemed to be in sexual situations. It was nauseating. I immediately closed the app and sent an email to support, as well as a copy of the image. I uninstalled after that, but I still can't forget those horrible pictures.

Above all else, i hope the dad was a good enough person to send those boys to therapy. Seeing the dead body of a loved one will mess you up. I, unfortunately, had to see it, as well, also at the age of 13. My father slowly died for four years from ALS. To say it was traumatizing would be an understatement. At around 3AM on Thanksgiving in 1995, mom woke me up and took me into her bedroom to see dad. It's an image that will forever be etched in my mind. Blue in the face from suffocating, mouth hanging open, and body slightly hanging off the bed. I even got to see him get zipped up in a body bag and hauled away on a stretcher. My mother told me she had a hard to deciding if she should wake me up to say my goodbyes. I really wish she hadn't. Even at 41 and with a metric ton of therapy and medication, those memories still haunt me. Unfortunately, that's how it'll be for those boys for the rest of their lives. With therapy, it can be easier to live with. PTSD is no joke. I wish those sons well. I truly feel for them on a personal level.
