Wait. So the amount of time between the 4th and the 11th is only like 150 years? Wow. Considering his lifespan, that is an insane amount of trauma in an incredibly short period of time.
@markpostgate2551
2 ай бұрын
Not exactly. He is 750, but the 7th Doctor is 958. So however the 4th to the 7th Doctor's calculate their ages it is different to however 9 to 11 calculate their ages. Mind you 150 years is a long time.
@Rednnaz
Ай бұрын
Basically the ninth doctor lied about his true age. So the War Doctor lived for 800 or so years, and 9th lived for about 100, so he started over counting the years when he gave up the title doctor
@markpostgate2551
Ай бұрын
@@Rednnaz No, my theory is Doctors 4-7 count their age in Galifreyan years. The 2nd explicitly is using Earth years when he says 450 (because he says "in your Earth years), and then after Gallifrey is destroyed the Doctor reverts to using Earth years from then on. A piece of evidence to support this theory is 958 is the Rani's combi lock code in Time and the Rani, because it is her age (same as the Doctors); why would the Rani have her code in Earth years? That would be silly, Earth has no significance to her, so she is using Gallifreyan years and so is the Doctor. The best thing is Romana offers us a conversion rate - she tells Duggan she is 125 but to the Doctor (Time Lord to Time Lord) she says 150, hence the ratio is roughly 5:6 - five Earth years is six Gallifreyan years, so in Time and the Rani when the Doctor says he is 958 he is 790-ish in Earth years. The only problem this leaves is the third Doctor claiming to have thousands of years of experience, but we just have to put this down to the Doctor talking b.s.!
@Rednnaz
Ай бұрын
@@markpostgate2551 Yeah. I did see a few things in extended media about the doctor restarting counting his age because the eight doctor also lived for like 800 years meaning that altogether 9th doctor was somewhere over 2000 years old. I feel as though the doctor wouldn't refer to his age in galifreyian years when trying to portray age scale to his human companions like sarah or rose
