@DiscGolfHunter

practice in the woods
@kimmomatikainen1843
4 жыл бұрын
@@broheme8922 To me field practice gives and has given the accuracy I need in the woods. Open field practice should not be just throwing discs. You can put a target on open field practice or draw a line on your mind that your throw must follow. Without having targets on your mind if there is no physical targets, it won't work. In the woods it as a lot to do with confidence and aim like Paul says in this video. In the woods it is easy to think "don't hit that tree" and with that thought you basically tell your brains to look at the tree when you throw. Change that to think "make that gap" or don't think and just aim for the gap. The biggest difference between field practice and throwing in the woods is mental difference. Straight throw is a straight throw everywhere. It's too easy to throw in open field without any targets.

Mr. P McB has been somewhat enigmatic in the past. Videos like this help us know the man behind the legend a bit more, which still shows us how he gets down to business and focuses so well. Regarding the content of this video, I think it is quite helpful. If you would have asked me to put something together regarding upshots, I might have had similar points to make. BUT, I still forget some of them too often on the course. Why? Lots of reasons, but one is that I am only so confident in what I think I need to do. When I hear it coming from Paul, I KNOW that's what I have to do. So even if these tips aren't necessarily earth-shattering revelations, they are clearly good, and coming from the 5X World champ, they confirm what we need to do to make great upshots.
