Sharing Dr Bergs notes on this important episode Vitamin deficiencies that may cause depression: 1. Vitamin B12 The best forms of vitamin B12: • Methylcobalamin • Hydroxy B12 2. Folate (vitamin B9) The best form of folate: • Methylfolate 3. Vitamin D3 4. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) 5. Zinc Try taking vitamin B12 and folate together and see if that gives you relief. If it doesn’t, you could move on to the other vitamins. It’s a good idea to try taking the last three vitamins one at a time, with a few days in between, rather than all at once. This way, you have a better idea of which one you could be deficient in. Other natural ways to improve depression: 1. Take probiotics 2. Do intermittent fasting 3. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet 4. Get out in the sun 5. Exercise Thank you Dr Berg! 🐱👍🏿

An Iron deficiency is often overlooked as well. It's a major contributing factor to depression and can lower levels of neurotransmitters like serotonin. I know way too many people on antidepressants that completely ignored their nutritional status. I blame their doctors. Too quick to reach for drugs when nutrition should be the first step. If you aren't eating enough red meat, B12 and Iron deficiencies are a given.

I have been following Dr B for just 2 months and finally tried fasting yesterday. My morning glucose was my lowest reading in 3 years (89) but it was a 22 hr fast. I was planning on it taking 3-8 months (per your video) to break my high insulin resistance that I had developed over 40 years of consuming too much sugar. I have about 10-15 points of glucose to go to be normal for insulin, thinking 75-80 as normal for very low carbs the previous day. Thanks Dr. Berg for a new lease on healthy living.

I feel like this video is speaking directly to my soul lol. I recovered from bad food poisoning back in January, lost 15 pounds from dehydration and loss of fluids, had to go to the hospital for one week and they put me on three different antibiotics, one through an IV. It was a long recovery process, but I had to stop working out until I recovered enough. I use to run almost everyday before that. It is now March and I still haven’t got the motivation to workout. I mostly work a lot but when I get off work I just go straight to my video games. Sometimes my trailer will build up with trash and I would do a deep clean every Sunday (just getting up to clean felt like a huge challenge) whereas before I would maintain it everyday. However I managed to keep my weight the same instead of gaining from being a couch potato by not eating much (stopped eating after 6pm), and I feel that could also be a contributing factor to my depression.

🥚🥩 I can personally vouch for the incredible benefits of incorporating raw egg yolks, medium-cooked red meat, and daily sunshine into my routine! Ever since I started consuming these nutrient-rich foods, I've been feeling more energetic and my mood has significantly improved. It's amazing how egg yolks and red meat are packed with essential vitamins like B12, folate, D3, B1, and zinc. 🌟 🌞 As for the sunshine, I've made it a point to get at least 30 minutes of sun exposure every day while exercising outdoors. This not only boosts my vitamin D3 levels but also keeps me feeling revitalized and happy. 😃 Dr. Berg's advice has truly transformed my life and I'm grateful to have discovered these natural ways to enhance my mental health. 🙌

Now as a young adult she had series of tests and discovered she has Lupus... Telling you this there is also connection between b12 and vit D and both work together... Hi Dr Berg, been watching and practicing your videos for months (started with avoiding rice completely). Lost 14kg's (from 78kg and now on 64 kg).. The last one was drastic after I started the healthy keto plan with IF (3 meals without snack, then down to 2 meals, down to OMAD, and now 48 hrs fasting twice a week, with other day on 2 meals a day with IF still for 17 hrs as already hit my weight goal - BMI on normal weight).. Stabilizing my weight exploration on going with butter (4 oz per day) All this fasting were made easy thanks for your Dr Berg's supplements (Electrolyte Powder, Wheatgrass, Nutritional Yeast, Gall Bladder formula for healthy keto, add Cod Liver Oil for my eyesight especially on night, add Sleep Aid, Adrenal & Cortisol Support & massage tool since I'm a adrenal body type according to your quiz result) Question need clarification: I have lost the weight, but still have small mid section tummy, is it normal and would get rid with the time?? (Just a month practicing the Healthy Keto and IF), btw Im also doing the kale shake, beet and kefir for liver detoxification all day for a month now, and also drinking ACV with lemon with Cinnamon powder for the weight lost and also to avoid kidney stone from forming.. all this coming from your multiple video insight (more than 100's), which i pick and choose to cater for my body needs.. I was having digestive issues, acid reflux, indigestion, bloating, gas, constipation, and then out of the blue I got arthritis flare ups, or at least I think this is what it is. My hands got blotchy, skin started breaking by itself, skin became super sensitive to everything, and wounds would not heal. Fingers got swollen and tender, and very, very painful. I got some Betaine HCl + Pepsin tablets (Amazon) and boom! Both problems solved. Indigestion gone, flareups receded. This stuff really works!!! 1 capsule with every meal.

When I found you going on 8 years ago Dr. Berg I had severe depression and got on your adrenal formula. At that time I believe it was called the Adrenal day formula and you had a night formula also! It worked immediately on me. I was calm and my husband could not believe what was happening to me! I would walk away from his outbursts instead of retaliating! Lol😃😂I still take your Adrenal formula to this day!!!!!❤

You had to walk away from your husband's outbursts? Maybe if you left your husband, your severe depression would have healed. You should not tolerate any adult having "outbursts" at you, everybody deserves better than that.

well done Margaret, if your husband was my partner i would try very carefully to bring it to their attention. that their behavior is irrational and may simply be caused by a chemistry imbalance and it's no big deal to recognise it and look at a way fix it. thats the first thing i would try. all the best

@@tasha9650 just my recommendation...don't start taking antidepressants! My experience was that none of them worked for very long consistently and withdrawal was gruesome. Good luck on finding something that works. Go natural and take some of these recommendations from Dr. Berg and other well known creators. Seriously...good luck!

Having read the book “Orthomolecular Medicine for Everyone” by Dr. Abram Hoffer and Andrew Saul, niacin is also good for depression. They treated the founder for AA, Bill W with high doses of niacin to treat alcohol dependence and depression.

These are water soluble vitamins. I would try the dosage recommended on the bottle. If you don’t get good enough results try double the amount. They will not build up in the body because of being water soluble. Good luck~

B12 is not just a vegan concern! Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that is essential to human health. It is produced by bacteria found in soil. Before large-scale farming and pesticide use, humans and animals alike got their vitamin B12 from food grown in soil. But due to soil desertification and mineral depletion, B12 is no longer found in most of the soil that we grow our food in. Did you know 90% of B12 supplements produced are fed to livestock? In order to maintain meat as a source of B12, the meat industry has to fortify animal feed with vitamin B12. Animals like cows, pigs and sheep would ordinarily get their B12 from munching on grass. But the vast majority of these animals are fed grain and soy and are therefore missing out on naturally occurring b12. Even grass-fed animals are deficient in vitamin B12 due to soil desertification, so these animals are also fed B12 supplements. The animal is the middleman for your B12 supplement! Why not cut out the middle-man and get your vitamin B12 straight from one of these plant-based B12 sources.

Biggest factor influencing mental health and depression is liver health. Liver toxic or fatty and you get vision brain and skin issues. The main reason is the brain and eyed are verg susceptible to toxins, and a underfunctioning liver means toxic biproducts aren't cleared out of the blood fast enough and end up damaging and effecting the organs with very sensitive chemisty - the brain.

Hello! Dr. Berg there is a study by a psychiatrist in the United States, unless I'm mistaken, where he studies the intestinal flora before prescribing medication, according to his study, people who suffer from depression usually have many parasites in the stomach and as this is the second brain it's like if this noxious environment "transmitted" suicidal, negative thoughts to the person's mind! Super interesting
