Being emotional mature is often thought of as something that automatically happens as we age, but that's not the case. We have to work to have healthy boundaries, learn how to identify our emotions when we have them, be okay with admitting when we are wrong, be slow to react and instead respond more thoughtfully to upsets, communicate clearly to those we are in relationships with, and be able to make decisions for ourselves with ease. It takes work, but it's worth it because it will improve the relationship with have with ourselves and others.
