I know that this debate is long gone, but I need to reiterate the fact that Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds is, and will always be the King of R&B. He has his own discography, and had written a tremendous amount of the hits that took place in the '90s. There would be no Toni Braxton, Dru Hill, Boyz II Men, Tevin Campbell, Brandy, and many others if it had not been for Babyface. He is '90s R&B.

@@MrClbrown33 Actually bro, I'm 34, but I have always been told that I have an old soul lol. I'd like to think it's because I can appreciate the things that were before my time. The point I was making is that even though Babyface started in the 80s, his music defined the majority of the 90s. That's the way decades work. The first half will sound like the previous decade. That's the markings of evolution.

"Stranger in my house" was the 2000s. But the "missing you" feature, "move on my heart," and "spend my life" are all bangers. Her first album was amazing. And, YES, Chantae's range is boundless, even though Faith's songs were more popular. I'd love this list with a breakdown of genres within RnB.
