just gotta say i really value your guys view and discussions on the show, seemed like other ppl were not picking up on how interesting and realistic this whole perspective on the jedi is, but you guys actively recognize it and discuss it and its so refreshing to see. People also don't seem to recognize that the jedi way is fallible and not realistic to humans and their emotions, and that its been that way from the original trilogy. Luke actively goes against the teachings of the Jedi and doesn't abandon sentimentality and love, and instead does go save his friends even though he knew it was a trap. He was made stronger by his unwavering love and belief in his father and his friends. It such a core of star wars as a world, and I think its somewhat unfortunate when people don't see that.

I loved Sol but he definitely intended to kill the Aniseya when he pulled the saber. It wasn't premeditated but it also wasn't an accident. It was sparked by his fear and desire around protecting Osha and Mei. Seeing a Jedi who was so emotionally compromised from the word go was really nice because any one who has been paying attention to Star Wars in the broader sense knows that the pretty much every Jedi we have met was not able to live up to the passionless ideal they are supposed to maintain. Obi had Satine in CW, Anakin had...every person in his life, QuiGon was non-specifically companionate to a fault, Mace was wrathful; I actually have a harder time thinking of a Jedi who actually lived up to all of those ideals. Qui-Gon is closest to a "pure" Jedi but even he was compromised. "Peace is a lie" is probably the most truthful part of the Sith code in that is applies to everyone. Still not a fan of the overall pacing but this show was a good watch and added a nice bit of lore and needed nuance to the Jedi and other force traditions. I hope they do a bit less of the blue-balling narrative structure in the ssn2 but I really dug this and it makes me want to read at least a couple of the HR books to get a taste. I haven't read a Star Wars novel in like 20+ except Dark Disciple which was an accidental read.

Not going to lie i was quite surprised to see that Osha bleed Sol's lightsaber in her anger and even use Force Choke on him, he even seemed to have accepted it by the end. I was quite surprised how Sol was not repentant at all for killing Aneseya. It seems that hiding the secret for so long he started to rationalize excuses for his actions, like care for Osha or making sure the Jedi learned about the vergence. Great lightsaber sequence between Sol and Qmir. Despite everything Sol was still a very skilled fighter to be able to win against a darksider who defeated 7 Jedi. And Venestra was indeed Qmir's master. Also all her talk about how Sol was a good man who let a mistake fester and change him it was so obvious she was talking about herself and whatever happened with Qmir. She was even lying to the senate and i bet she won't tell the whole truth to Yoda. She is going to use the now without memory Mae to hunt for Qmir and maybe will even end up with the same fate as Sol. I think she will tell the truth about Sol, Indara, Torbin and Kelnacca but hide the part about her old padawan, let it be some unknown Force user that she needs to investigate. I get the feeling trying to kill Qmir wasn't something sanctioned by the Jedi Council before. And so the cycle of lies done by the Jedi keep going until they are fully trapped in the Sith's web. By the way I think Plagueis was spying on them. Wonder if looking for future prospects or checking a possible competition. Great episode and we need a season 2 of this now!

Lets take this to a Star Trek point of view, The Jedi would be seen as the Vulcans and the Sith would be the Romulans, the Vulcans would do everything they can to suppress their emotions, while the Romulans would follow the ways of their ancestors, but no matter how much suppression the Vulcans do to suppress them, they would still fail at curtain times in their history when trying to suppress them, like for example during the time of Pon-far, the Vulcan mating cycle or the Vulcan version of Alzheimer's, Bendai Syndrome where they start losing control of their emotions, because a Vulcan without Logic is no Vulcan at all.

I think Qimir has no idea Plagueis is there. I think he's pulling the strings from the shadows and manipulated to get Qimir and Osha together and they will be a dyad which is the power of two that are one like Ben Solo and Rey. I think that Qimir will become the first Knight of Ren and Sol's saber will become the Ren. It makes way more sense why then in the prequels they think the Sith are extinct because then Qimir is not a Sith - just a dark side user. Then I think the connection with Qimir and Vernestra connects with then Ben Solo and Luke Skywalker with a similar story which then Ben find a kinship with the Knights of Ren with the first Ren story being similar to his own.

He did attack her before I knooooow but not since. Feels like he sensed or interpreted that Mae isn’t really that bad but Sol was giving negative vibes. Also while I’m commenting.. I think mother Aniseya is more powerful as the leader and why she was able to manipulate Torbin by herself VS the coven needed to manipulate Kelnacca. I’m not sure if this information is still canon? But I think in this universe, force users are more powerful as each generation comes about. So the “twins” would be more powerful force witches than Aniseya. This show has one of the worst scripts, but the best fight scenes. At last a jedi fight is cool again.

THANKS for this!!!! But frankly, if somebody asked me, a #casualStarWarsperson, if they should watch #StarWarsAcolyte, I would tell them to watch #StarWarsVisions first and then watch a live-action *unsuccessful* attempt at this kind of story. Or I would tell them to just watch #StarWarsAndor followed by #StarWarsRogueOne and just call it a day! #StarWars #Jedi

Potentially, there could end up being more seasons of this show than any other Star Wars series because they have a 100 year window here to play in. Also, since we don’t know entirely the origin story of Osha and Mae, perhaps there is a way to trigger her Jason Bourne style at a later point……

The senator threatened her with oversight so Venestra had to make it look like 1 Jedi went bad and was taken out. That the matter was resolved. She can't tell them that a group of Jedi went rogue. Lying to them was to keep the Jedi independent. We see it didn't work out.

Why not just pin it on qimir then? Saying a whole bunch of Jedi failed spectacularly through incompetence and then managed to keep it secret for years under the high councils nose and then one of them secretly murdered a bunch of them makes the Jedi look way worse then just saying one Padawan went dark and the Jedi fell in battle trying to stop him which if anything would convince the senate of how necessary it is for the Jedi to exist and be supported to curb the risk of darksiders causing mayhem.

I both do and dont hope that was plagueis, i want to see plagueis in live action but i hope they keep a lot of the elements from the legends novel.

Yes in fact what I would for sure do is this. In a 2 half hour movie called Rule of 2. Do the movie version of the Plagues legends book.

Well they literally just showed him on the Island he owned and mined from legends. So they are pretty close to a lot of it. Though Tenebrous is pretty clearly dead by this point.

Not necessarily. Plagueis could have been training Qimir as his acolyte but he's now gone rogue and enlisted Mae, so that both of them could overthrow Plagueis and Tenebrous Plagueis may now realize this and Tenebrous will order him to destroy both of them two He could also be dead for sure haha. But I have a feeling he's still alive. Kinda like how Palpatine, Plagueis and Maul were all around

Unfortunate that the writing with so many weird or poor choices let down a great idea and some great actors. If this would have been a movie where they changed some chronology of scenes, did a few rewrites, and took out a few pieces that made no sense, it could have been something special.

The structure was obviously very carefully constructed to be a certain way and I think it was excellent. Any elaboration on what exactly you think should have been different?

Hopefully season 2 we get a Venestra/Qimir flashback episode! I would like to see it. Also what’s next for Mae? I’m very intrigued for a season 2 🤩

I love how positively and objectively you approach the current Star Wars projects and don't think everything is stupid from the start. That's why I love watching your reactions and look forward to everything that's to come! For me, the show was up and down. I liked the last episodes, but wasn't a big fan of the first episodes. Still looking forward to a second season if one comes. Keep up the good work! 👌

We don’t know what she told Yoda but I’ve seen on another review that in a scene with Yoda and Mace, it’s mentioned that the Sith haven’t been around for so many years and they both shoot each other side glances, now we don’t know what that glance was about but what if Yoda did know?

I'm hoping for CGI Yoda for season 2 because Frank Oz isn't getting any younger in years remember, he wouldn't be able to hold the Puppet like he use to, but he can still probably do the voice for him.

I wanna know… And hear me out. Are Qimir and Sol related like Mae and Osha? That would be meta to to extreme and a mind explosion. 💥

That call she was making to get a message to someone sounded like Palpatine, which due to the timeline is impossible right??
