@@Jjrmtv Exactly! Art is taking the personal and translating it into the universal through a process of elevation, which is why beauty is inextricably attached to art. Self indulgence is forcing your miserable narcissism on an unwilling and uninspired audience. Or as Tolstoy so aptly wrote, 'all happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way'. Which shows the path to universality (aka popularity) has to be up. Suffering is fine in art as long as it gives a path to transcendence. Which is why the victim culture can't produce art - they don't believe in transcending one's victimhood.

I'm not convinced that we shouldn't shame fat people anymore. Shame is one of the most effective tools in the human toolbox for applying social pressure to get people to do what is right, not only for themselves but for their children and society as a whole. The idea that people have a right to do whatever they want shame-free is a modern idea. That's not the way it was for most of human history. The only way the no-shaming creed makes sense is if we have given up on their ability to change. Shaming people for something that is beyond their control is mean and unproductive. Attacking it for sport is the perfect way to put it. Hate implies passion, and most of the fan base lost that long ago. If Lucasfilm won't entertain us, then we'll make our own entertain on their wretched products

He was annoying in one movie. That's even less than C-3PO who was terrible in everyone imo.

They cgi everything why didn't they just cgi the baby?! Like they cgid tarken back to life they couldn't make a baby?! Or literally just cut frame like we've done for 70 years. Use the cameras intelligently. John rhys Davies is 6 feet tall. Gimli worked and was a believable dwarf. That was done mostly with shots(cinematography) and practical effects. These cunts can't even fake a baby lol.

My favorite part is how the people crowing for moral relativism in everything never actually engage in any opinions that are counter to their own, instead decrying them as "evil" without examination.

So they live in a massive fortress structure built into the peak of a mountain (ie - steep) while the forest less evil twin hangs out within that contains the magic tree is clearly displayed to be on level ground. So... how far does less evil twin casually wander when she wants to be alone?
