One I did like was Sol, but he was done so dirty in the end. Basically he just let Osha kill him, just like with Torbin. That's something I found so stupid too, what jedi kills himself? It's so not what a jedi would do. Even if they had made a mistake, they would go out of there way to make it right. And that would not be by killing themselves ofc. My biggest at problem with the show besides the terrible / inconsistent writing (which is understandably the main thing everyone talks about), is the fact we were misled. This project was pitched as a dark side show, following the Sith/Sith apprentice and learning secrets of the dark side. Instead the Sith was just a side character and the show was actually just about a group of incompetent Jedi blundering around. And as others have said, I absolutely don’t want there writers touching Plagueis. I think you're confusing enjoying the show with the actual quality of the product being put out. Then when you stopped liking it suddenly the writing was bad. Takes like this and your opinion of TLJ are why it can be difficult to watch your content sometimes and especially with Star Wars. I absolute love your coverage of the industry and the machinations that go on behind the scenes. But I give absolutely no value to your opinions on the actual content itself. Grace I must say I have a newfound respect for you. I know the term Disney chill is thrown out a lot, especially during this series, but your review of the series is spot on and I know you were one of the few that were hopeful for this from the get-go. There are still a handful of KZitemrs that for whatever reason love this show but I just don’t see it and also fans. I think they have to get away from and hopefully will learn from the show finally because it says Star Wars on it doesn’t mean people are gonna shut their brains off and just love everything that spewed out.

Hey Grace, just wanted to let you know about the rule of Two. Sith apprentices take on acolytes as they plan to replace the master at some point. Palpatine did this when he took on Maul before he killed his master. Dooku also did this in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars show where he took both Asajj Ventress (who showed up in the Bad Batch) and Savage Oppress.

Great review, Grace. Just one small correction, Darth Bane was responsible for the Sith massacre, not the Jedi. He did so during a battle between the Sith and the Jedi using a bomb that would target force users. Bane killed the Sith to start the rule do two and chose to do so during a battle with the Jedi so they would think all the Sith were gone.

I take issue with the fact that Sol wasn’t given more time to explain to Osha that he was just doing his job, and yet she’s cool with spending time with the guy who killed her Jedi friends

To be fair Grace, you did catch a lot collateral damage for supporting and defending this show from the fandom for giving it a chance. You really took some bruises and I saw a lot of influencers attacking your podcast, but I will say that you took it all with grace and kept going and for that you will always have my eternal respect!❤

It blows my mind that someone could watch this whole show and be surprised that the ending had terrible writing. This entire endeavor has been plagued by enormous plot holes, nonsensical character choices /motivations, a lack of narrative through line, and bad dialogue. I can't believe it was green lit in the first place. Also, if a male show runner gave his terrible actress wife a big part on his show, then I think Grace would call him out on it. But not Leslye!

Sooooo I think it was fine. But not great. My two biggest issues I have with it is 1) May and OSHA are redundant and made the plot complicated and served only to give a twist everyone saw coming and 2) the pacing. This show did not know what it was or wanted to be, only a few events around which they built a plot, instead of the reverse. Focusing on Osha turning to the dark side should have been the focus of this, following her from idealistic rejected Padawan into investigating her mother’s death, the truth behind her life, and then turning evil. This should have happened in the middle of the series and the back half should have been her extracting vengeance.

I would also add that OSHA would need a real, moral, and ethical Jedi to hunt her down in the back half of my proposal. Can you imagine how a real, trustworthy Jedi would play out against OSHA murdering her fellows one by one? And then realizing what the four rogue Jedi did, and not giving in to their schemes. A stand off in the finally between OSHA, the true Jedi, and Sol? Does the real Jedi side with OSHA? Forgive Sol? Turn them both into the council? And then, everyone except OSHA is killed by the Sith Master? Lurking in the shadows the rest of the series and suddenly, in the finale, he emerges and destroys the true Jedi and recruits Osha? The end would be the Sith and Osha leaving Brendok and planting the seeds for next season.

I’m a little unclear why Sol’s actions are unforgivable, and yet Qimir gets a pass for murdering Osha’s friends.
