In this video Robert D. Aronson, director of Aronson Antiquairs, founded in 1881, explains what proces every object goes through after purchase. Aronson explains: "Being a specialist in 17th and 18th century Delftware means that people come to us with objects and sometimes we are able to buy those objects too, but the main part of our work is looking for beautiful Delftware objects through other channels; auctions or maybe private people abroad that we know of that have a collection. And the process that we need to go through after buying these objects is always the same. Whether it is a simple piece of Delftware or a beautiful flower vase from the seventeenth century, The moment it comes in it needs to be researched, we need to describe the object, if necessary it needs to be restored and if we want to publish it, it needs to be photographed and printed as beautiful as possible. Of course after selling whether it goes to a private person or to a museum, it doesn’t make a difference, you can always rest assured that our objects come with the complete documentation and everything that you would like to have to either put it in your private home or on view in a museum room."
