In my top 10, possible 5 favorite movies. The chemistry between Matt and Emily was both relatable and authentic. They were a very real, believable match and the level of action between them and the bureau was not delivered via explosions or loud noises, but simply the action of running, and through that, a suspenseful and engrossing conflict that kept you rooting for them to "beat the man" until the very end. Superb.

LOVE this movie. Here's how I interpret it's message: There's people out there who go through life thinking there's no such thing as a soul mate and that they'll never meet that one true love. FYI, those people usually don't meet their soul mate. Then, there's people out there that go through life who TRULY BELIEVE that their soul mate is out there and that they WILL meet that soul mate some day. These are the ones who really do meet their soul mates. This movie has inspired me to believe.

Exactly. Tbh, I'm not a fan of romantic movies and I hate a lot of things relating to romance, because romance is not a luxury I get to experience firsthand. But I can still appreciate that this is a good movie because it has a good story and concept to it. And if romance is what they are looking for, why can't they fight for what they believe in?
@vaseleth
3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for replying to this this late, but I just read your comment and it really triggered me. i don't think "people" act like romance is a horrible thing. People love romance, that's why in pretty much every movie, there's a romantic subplot. People act like movies that are only about romance are a bad thing because most of the time, they're bad movies. Most romances don't have any care in tone, writing or consistence of their own world, characters or plot. Most of the plot in most romantic movies happens because there needs something to happen to keep the romance going and not because something is happening in the world of the movie that coincidentally affects the characters. Most often, it's just a series of events that are not explained, characters transition from one disposition to the other within minutes, there is no good dialogue, nothing for the actors to work with even on the rare occasion that they are good and more often than not not even a little amount of care about how scenes are shot. Last but not least, most of the time it is just another version of the same clichees you've watched a hundred times already. That, however, is not only a problem of romances, it is just here that it becomes so annoying. All these criticisms fit most movies in general. But in an action flick, at least the action is good and distracts somewhat from the poor writing. In a horror movie, if the killer looks mean, it's not that important that all the characters are clichees. Most movies are, by most people, not watched for their writing and characters, not even for their plot. In romances, as we don't dwell on the lovemaking itself, characters, dialogue and plot are the only thing there is to enjoy. You don't feel joy if two people that you don't care about, don't like and you haven't seen have any adventures together come together in the end. Most movies are weak in the same departments most romances are weak. But these departments are the only thing that can lend some quality to pure romances, so most romances are weak. I think, there are some great romances and some non-romance-focussed stories in which the romance is the best thing. I had great fun with crazy stupid love, for example, which still wasn't brilliant, but really good. But most romances annoy the living hell out of me within just a few minutes and by halfway I'm screaming at the screen how an individual can write such bad dialogue, can not realise how many plot holes there are in one scene alone in a movie that doesn't even have a lot of plot and can have so little character development over 1,5 hours even though the characters break their character every minute. Sorry for the rant, it is just that romances are a pet peeve of mine as I enjoy them immensely when they're well written and I've got very little to enjoy because it suffices to have 14-year-old girls overdosed on hormones and 55-year-old women overdosed on alcohol go "Aww" every ten minutes to make a living writing romance. Have a nice rest of the year.

It's a movie that you would have to see to fully grasp the depth of it and the actual message. My advice - don't watch the trailer, see the movie, the haters in the comment section are just the unintelligent who cannot understand the real meaning behind this movie and only see it as a boring romance chick flick.
