I've been listening to the original by sir Arthur Conan Doyle on repeat for the last few months, and I think I can say that I'm familiar with his tone and the general feeling of his stories. Listening to this one felt like watching the Avatar's Ember Island play, in the best way hahaha I find myself laughing out loud on several points, which did not happen as often with the originals 😆😂 Very interesting!

I enjoy the fact that this author keeps his stories so authentic that he even goes so far as using antiquated terms such as 'brain fever'. Characters suffering from "brain fever" were fairly common in the original Doyle tales that it makes for a fun inclusion in these new stories, even though the term is biologically inaccurate. Good show, old chap!

Just finished listening to the morning glory murders with tears in my eyes to be confronted with the death of the Indian boy. I know it's fiction but I was somewhat distraught. 😢 Your written work is exceptional. 💔

Great story, but we Irish and English readers prefer the word "Autumn" to "Fall".

*Spoiler alert* **************** **************** **************** **************** I love it how Holmes uses his irregulars to spy on the 2 families and gain information used to coerce them both to stop murdering each other. It's poetic justice, and the way he did it totally caught me off guard. Bravo Mr. Copland!

Holmes would say "autumn", not "fall". Also, there were no teabags in the 1880s. Cheers

When exactly did the word "fall" drop out of usage in Britain?

@@martinrutley-wk5ds middle english I believe. but that's from memory, didn't find a reference. But late 19th century would certainly have been 'autumn'.

Boring and has none of the ambiance of Conan Doyle's writing. A waste of my time.
