There's a lot I agree with here, but I think how Corridor was portrayed here, and how many have been portraying them, is really unfair. Saying their "animation" didn't have real passion behind it just isn't true. They clearly were passionate about it, and they spent time and effort making it, as silly and janky as it is. You can see that passion in their BTS video. And saying that they just didn't want to put in the time and effort into learning how to make real art is also pretty misrepresentative. These guys are established creators with their own developed talents and skillsets, as well as a desire to create. They can't just "go learn how to animate" they already developed these skillsets and use them to run a business. And it's not like they're trying to con people either. They made this whole thing on free software available to the public, training the AI on media that is also free and to the public, and explain the process in depth for those who want to learn. Yes, AI is scary, it threatens the jobs of many artists, but it's also a useful tool for those who don't have the means to create like fully fledged studios do. It puts the ability to create in the hands of more people. Should people be allowed to just, train the AI on art created by others without getting their express permission to do so? I really don't know, because where do we draw the line? If the AI is learning how to recreate the style of the art, well, can you claim ownership over a style? The AI is doing what we already do, just much faster. If you want to learn an artstyle you pour over works made in that style, then try to replicate it yourself. The real issue people have with it is that it doesn't take as nearly as much work, and I can understand the frustration with that, but I don't think people are actually in the wrong for doing so. It's new and evolving tech, so I honestly don't know what the right answer is here, but I don't think Corridor deserves the hate they're getting. I'm sure factory workers felt the same way when robots replaced them because machines were more efficient at replicating their skills. At the end of the day, these AI tools are still just tools, and cannot create meaningful art on their own. However, they are tools that people can use to help create meaningful art from their creative vision.

I think once proper laws have been implemented on how we use AI and what for, it'll be alright. At the moment it's very much in a grey area and people are trying to take advantage of that to rake in a lot of money.

It's more out of curiosity that they come to see, and test her to see with their own eyes what she's capable of, and also have fun to see these limits (how far she can transgress the codes). Once assimilated, many will move on to other concerns (her huge number of followers has no value to me). Many other projects bloom everywhere, precisely to grab a little of this huge piece of cake offered by this precursor.. but it'll end like many publishers who fails to obtain the same popularity of theirs BR games as PUBG or Fortnite do : too much all of a sudden, many fails because lack of news. It should also not be forgotten that an AI is not able to really laugh. It's subtle but it matters a lot. Being able to make a streamer laugh is also important, it's nice to temporarily reverse the roles, entertaining the entertainer. Thank You Makari.

Neuro-sama already had that car crash when she started talking about denying the holo.... you know what I mean. And Vedal has already banned certain words. So no n-word will happen unless the AI finds a way to circumvent the program, which is still possible since we still have much to learn for AI programs.

Hollywood is greatly exaggerated just look at the actual start of rail guns not exactly a super energy cannon that usually depicted it's literally a electrically launched piece of metal pellet or disk. Doesn't exactly look like it's going the way it's shown in movies

Good video but on her streams without collabs, she usually has 3-4K viewers. On the latest collabs, she had like 5K viewers but I wonder how many viewers she will have with biggest vtubers (veibae in april ?), we'll see :)

lmao that meme "playing with vtubers that have dommy mommy voice" to "they call makari a bottom brat" the truth definitely hurts ;P i am definitely against AI art, mainly because of the people trying to profit off the generation of AI art through prompts, so i'm glad you mentioned that, if there were some safeguards in place that prevented commercial use of AI art i'd be much less inclined to hate on the art, even if i do find the depiction of hands in AI art to be horrific and hilarious i mean, i can't draw hands very well either, its always a learning curve to figure out how to place fingers and hand position believably, so its really no wonder an AI can't do it either lol

Interestingly, the one place where AI is often not portrayed as a negative thing that will destroy humanity is anime. My favorite example is the Amadeus system in Steins;Gate 0... well, Amadeus does endanger a majority of humanity, but because of humans, not because of the AI itself.

I'm not so much afraid of A.I., as how it will be used to replace us in jobs, creativity, and entertainment. It may be flawed for now, but how long before it's as good as us?

its mainly an issue of it being used abusively by other people without the use of common sense restrictions which already exist for other similar scenarios

Their incapability of being politically correct may very well be the reason many will be interested on them. Although it is true and fair to believe for this very reason AI will never be as mainstream or spread out, due to their inability to fully adapt to human social norms.
