God willing we will bring the native red bk across the UK. BTW the doves are great eating, just like woodie but bit less meat for the same hassle. But that comment is more for others as i know you are a big eater of game birds

Good video but recently I have noticed that a campaign has been launched to suggest that the normal shooting distance for air rifle ( when dealing with airgun quarry ) is about 30 ~35 yards and anything longer than that is a risky long range shot. This started a few weeks ago with an attack on a chap who posts videos about shooting pests in one of the air gun forums. The truth is that 45~ 50 yards are actually normal shooting distance for an airgunner. If the aim is to desuade young inexperineced air gunners from taking ' long ' shots at quarry, then it should be pointed out that young inex[perinced air giunners should not be taking any shots at live quarry at any distance until the point that they have learned how to shoot accurately . Andy Watkins is an experienced airgun competition shooter and he knows the physical limitations of a sub 12 gun as well as any other experienced air gunner. These days we seem to be constantly apologising for the sport that we all love, always looking over our shoulder for the ' big brother ' or the antis. Thanks for an entertaining video.

Abuse? Keep that in mind the next time a squirrel chews through your power lines in the house and burns it down. Remember that the next time rodents spread some virus on your property and a child or pet gets sick or dies from coming in contact with the droppings and then YOU get sued by the parents for doing nothing to control them. You animal rights activists/whiners show more compassion for animals than your fellow human beings and that is the real abuse.

@tinka7546

Wood pigeons can be the most serious bird pest in agriculuture, gardens and allotments in the UK. They eat seeds, crops, peck at leaves tearing them, often just leaving the stalks and larger leaf veins behind which ends up killing the plant. Pigeons will consume many different types of plants and are all over the british countryside making them a pest species.
