Nice units. I think some negative comments don't realize how the down draft helps, and what solid construction means long term. Also being able to utilize all winter is a plus. 5 degrees where I'm at rightnow. Ill be digging out the welding blankets today for my current Reqtec

If it had a fireboard I might be able to justify it. I have watched some reviews of the controller this smoker comes with and it looks like it comes from the 90s. At least with a fireboard you can cold smoke and have multiple probes, ease of use and waaay more features in the app etc. The pull handle, wheels and bent lid with the cuts not welded back together looks Chincy to me. I am in the market for a good smoker and this looked promising at first but Idk about the quality for the price paid. Considering Yoder and Lone Star grillz as those things are built to last and have more thought/attention to detail put into them. I prefer the cabinet like style of this one and the cooking space though. Not to hip on the hopper being in the front either. I want to be able to get up close to the grill and work. Seems to me for the price might as well get the new LSG pellet cabinet for a little more. I think the size of the 2400 is perfect for me but so many little issues at this price point makes me shy away.

what is the difference between the generations ?

The new Gen 3 smokers are manufactured by an American company (Smokin Brothers) in the USA. Gen 3 moved the hopper to the front, put the firepot in the center and integrated a downdraft exhaust system. The interior is also stainless and double walled.

Great question for Myron Mixon and Smokin Brothers, I'll ask.

from everything I have found, Fireboards are great for monitoring and controlling a blower. They do not control all functions such as auger and igniter. Could be wrong...

@@andersonbbqsupply Blahaha I was guessing the price at $1000 less. Highly over priced!!! I’ll stick with my Grila OG, SILVERBACK and Pellet pro sidekick. All 3 For less than the small Myron Mixon.
