Allow us to introduce you to phase two of our community garden!
With help from the wonderful Cumbria Social Enterprise Partnership & Westmorland & Furness Council, we received a grant to build an awesome raised bed mountain for our Community Garden!
As well as creating a lot more growing space in the garden, the raised beds mean our garden is accessible to all, including wheelchairs - helping us to achieve our goal of becoming a vital community hub! (And reducing our food miles, with the farm shop using produce from the community garden!)
All of this wouldn’t have been possible without Maryport Groundworks who worked tirelessly in the mud and rain to get the raised beds built and to The Luxury Wood Company, Honister Slate and JT Atkinson for providing the oak wood sleepers, slate path & compost.
We hope you will enjoy our community garden as much as we do! If you want to get involved please contact us at garden@alpacalyeverafter.co.uk
Enjoy! 👩🌾🪴🌹💐🌱
