Nvidia hasn't been a video game company for a while, if you look at their revenue breakdown.

The "N" in "Nvidia" is pronounced like "in" as in "invidious." Just FYI for future reference.

Difficult to take this guy seriously if he disregards Nvidia as simply a video games company. It's like saying in the leadup to WW2 that Rolls Royce wouldn't be important as they just made cars with fancy lady statuettes on the front.

Yeah very stupid. All credibility out the window. These video cards have a “GPU” that in certain number crunching applications are better than regular computer CPUs. They can be used for training AI and Crypo of physical simulations.

At least we aren't stuck in the Malthusian trap of the gold standard. Historically our ancestors suffered from mass poverty & starvation back when they used gold & silver for money.

It's comforting to know that such empathy exists towards the old generations who never lived to see the fiat utopia that now exists. Can't wait for Utopia 2.0 that they plan to launch after the next "oops" moment that wipes out the middle and upper middle class retirement savings. I'm sure you'll be rooting for Utopia 2.0.

Please explain the correlation further. I’d like to know how an appreciating currency causes poverty and famines. I think your blanket statement should be backed up here. Are you saying we can’t expand the money supply fast enough to artificially drive demand?

@@rprice33Under the gold standard, people who had the ability to hoard a lot of gold, usually through political means, got wealthier through deflation without having to produce anything to justify their ability to claim a growing proportion of their society's wealth. Gold ownership was basically a form of rent seeking,in other words.

@@albionicamerican8806 Gold isn't hoarded because people can easily get more money from lending what they have, e.g. being a lender or forming a bank of some sort, or reduce security costs by depositing them in banks.
