From a simple seed grows a mighty tree. This storied American Elm bonsai - planted, cultivated, and styled by Arthur Joura - resides as a legacy of The North Carolina Arboretum's approach to naturalistic styling. The demonstration process, recorded in March of 2019, was temporarily put on hold until now in 2022. We hope you enjoy this masterclass and unique approach to a living story, and if able, please take the time to visit The Arboretum in Asheville, NC to witness its beauty in person. Pot by Eli Akins of Waldo Street Pottery.
