Technically America has never had colonies because they where classed as territories instead

They kept the civilians captive because they figured if they set them loose they would join the guerrillas because pretty much everyone on the islands absolutely hated the Japanese

America doesn't deal with terrorists. Japan had committed the ultimate sin. They touched our boats. Because of this, America dropped the sun on them... twice.

The US's greatest atrocities happened in the American Indian wars. Some States even issued bounties for the scalps of Native Americans. I have a reproduction of what is essentially a hunting tag for Native Americans.

Compared to the other major Nations fighting WWII America was the most even-handed and even-headed. At the beginning of joining the Eastern Theater the USA stuck to military and production targets only. Also a few WWII games have those gliders in them.

Rave, during WW2, the japanese were essentially in a colonialism type of mood, and wanted to crush anybody in their way under the cover of "cooperation." They also considered anyone not Japanese to be subhuman, and those who surrendered would be no better treated than starving dogs.

About IQ test thing: Think this way. If this was 100 requirement 50% of population wouldn't qualify. And it was even higher

Yeah, 10 points is a standard deviation- having that as an entry requirement is wild. 110 is 75th percentile

I believe the US territories arr Guam, US Virgin Islands, US Solomon Island, and Puerto Rico. There may be more, but those are the ones I am aware of.
@KairiPrime
Ай бұрын
@@rebel11201991 That is some of them... except not the Solomon Islands, they are part of the British Commonwealth. The others are American Samoa, Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the Republic of Palau.

@KairiPrime I thought the Solomon Islands were like the Virgin Islands. I also got my S Island chains confused, I was thinking American Samoa 🤦♀️

Objectively the us treated our prisoners and internees way better than any other country. Even the Soviet front lines would tell Germans whose towns they had taken to run to the allies because Stalin had begone reinforcing his army with criminals from Russian prisons. Objectively speaking if you surrender to Americans you could expect a far better quality of life. Aside from a couple isolated incidents but war is messy.

Eisenhower was a general in WW2. He became a President latter (1950s). You are getting ahead of the actual timeline.

Why keep the internies in country close to the front lines? Simple. Hostages. Or, have to expend extra resources to save and then protect them once you get them out.
