I suffered and still do suffer from a lack of consistency myself, I’ve missed so many opportunities to push myself forward in life. But, I’ve been increasing my consistency’s of now and I’ve been able to satisfy myself doing so. A thing I like doing to get me in the mood to do something is being looking forward to doing that daily task by having a positive mindset (I got this from one of Amy’s videos) and if the task is something like studying and you hate it, just think about what you can get out of studying, like getting closer to understanding the lesson because I know I like to understand things. Don’t you?

maybe you can try little things to let’s say ‘romanticize’ school/learning. for example if you like coffee try going on a cafe study dates. and once you do one even little thing you need to, that you would procrastinate to do earlier, try rewarding yourself, watch your favourite show or read your favourite book. you can also try doing to do list, for me personally crossing out things from them feels almost addicting 😅

I have issues with being consistent when I get constantly interrupted when I'm studying. If I get interrupted once I focused on something-i get frustrated. And I get frustrated being frustrated at those who interrupt me because then I'm the bad kid.

Yeah I used to deal with that too, I kinda had to do two things, one is kind of just (if I can't ask them to stop disturbing me)doing the thing they asked as a part of a break kinda but ofc it doesn't fix the problem, it's just harder for me to get back on track and to study I just had to get up early on times where no one has a chance to disturb me.

...Hm. I'm also like this, actually. The way that I solve it, I just keep thinking about getting back to studying before I finish it so that I can be reminded of what I have to focus about. I also play some white noise. Sometimes, hearing the white noise is like an alarm that I have to get back to studying.

My biggest problem was that I procrastinated my IELTS and felt reluctant to restart because I was often burden with the idea that it was too difficult to get an 8778 as a non-native English speaker after several failures yet I had to prepare it anyways to study abroad over the past 12months. Now I realized I haven’t found a relatively personalized fun way to work hard enough until I feel well-prepared. Break the exams down to different parts, find a coach, execute the methods fully and consistently. Take my responsibility to face it head-on instead of being scared away. Thanks a lot Amy ❤

Implement studying into your everyday life. Start with 20 minutes and slowly build it up from there! Prioritise breaks and reward yourself for achieving even the smallest of goals :) Implement self care to avoid burning out too! That's about it. You've got this!

You can set up specific times of the day..for example you have to do your maths homework so put a time like "this has to be done before 6 p.m. )and then reward yourself once you've done that....one of the tips I've been using from Amy ma'am is that connect your study with something you like.. When you're studying..do something fun too..for example listen to music..you will be then excited to go to study! I also had problems with being consistent but I'm improving!! Don't worry You got this! ❤

hey there ! i too just finished 10th ( well a few months ago ) and am preparing for NEET ! for now i am watching lectures ( from my coaching institute cuz school teaches like half of what we need ) and doing the workbooks and tests they give. I think after studying, doing a lot of application based questions (and seeing how each of them work) you’ll slowly start to recognize each question and which topic the question is related to and how to solve them (or at least know something about it rather than being confused where the question is even from) developing said critical thinking skills. idk if i am making any sense but hop it helps

I somewhat struggle with the same things, but something I've tried doing is making my brain think that the deadline is before the actual deadline, essentially making myself only procrastinate till a few days before the real deadline, somehow still being able to study up on what I don't understand in those few days. I hope this at least helps a little, but I also hope you find a better solution XD

I have an almost sick dependence on escapism it's just sick, I waste hours back to back doing nothing scrolling on social media and completely discard my priorities because I'm clinging to escapism like my life depends on it it feels like it's polluting how I perceive and value the people and things in my life that I should be thinking of 1st I feel like I'm growing more and more rotten as a person by the hour I spend just running away, but I can't stop it, it's like I'm treating it like a lifeline or something and I'm scared by that

Watch a few more of Amy's videos cause they helped me realize that there's so much else that you could be doing instead of wasting your life away like that and also make sure to keep yourself occupied and busy (in a healthy way) so much so that you don't have time to just waste away like that, although i still do not know how to properly manage my time and as a senior student with a lot to do i stopped social media altogether and do think it is beneficial for you too! Good luck and realize that you could be doing something productive or taking a one step towards the person you want to become, instead of escaping face your fear which is most probably just being board or having to think about reality.

Something I really struggle with is consistency and self-drive. When I got my highest grade and got all my homework done was when my motivation was extrinsic (my parents promised me a gift ). There is something of similar nature coming up and I want to take advantage of the fact that this thing gives me motivation to work. However, I know that I should probably start working on my self drive to curb this issue in the long rn. Any advice on how I could curb this issue?
Here's my issue : I have problem sleeping..like I get 7-8 hours of sleep daily. I even do exercise .drink enough water and I also eat healthy food..but still I'm so drained every single day and I just can't pay attention in school. The problem is that I'm always tired.

laziness is actually narcissism deep down you think, or more innately, you BELIEVE that while your peers are working their ass off studying, or while someone like wamy keeps brain storming ways to get people like you going, you can just throw it all into the bin and say "meh, doesn't concern me" You have a consciousness buddy these are choices you're making just by not taking action as long as you have consciousness, you have a responsibility to do the right thing, so you have to constantly be mindful of what you're choosing to do and not to do Sounds like too much work? if so, you think you're above too much work? Above people who are willing to put in the work, and end up miles ahead of you? [I'm mostly talking to you like I would myself, as I also have an issue with laziness and everything I said just now I thought about it today, I hope it will help me change]

I have the same problem, maybe try to figure out what distracts you. For example, while im studying I sometimes distract myself with social media, it affects my studying a lot. What I do to not get distracted is I confine myself in a room with only my learning materials then charge my phone in the another room (far away from me) to not get distracted. You need to discipline yourself and focus on your main goal. Take responsibility :)

Fundamentals and theory comes first. I'd suggest you to go through them until you have a good grasp of what the chapter/topic is about, what are you trying to find/prove here. Then you can go through procedures/examples to understand the complete procedure. And then, you try solved examples on your own and correct any misinterpretations/missing parts in your understanding. The last step is practice until you feel confident.
