Marriage and children gives a person higher highs, lower lows, a more full life. Peace of the Buddhist monk requires being single. Romance is complicated for higher highs and lower lows. Peace is also desirable. Poverty yields freedom. The Buddhist monks have a simple definition of being wealthy. If I can sleep when I am tired and eat when I am hungry I am a wealthy person. Single people have single person suffering. Married people have married people suffering. Life is filled with choices.

society places so much emphasis on romantic love that we neglect all the other ways we get intimacy and warmth and love from people. Romantic love doesn't exist. That's just a sense of infatuation and lust that ultimately wanes over time. I'm not saying that a man and a woman cannot love each other. I don't have words to describe how grateful I am to have never had children and to be 100 percent joyfully single for whatever time is left to me. So essentially nothing has really changed regarding you being attached; what only changed/changes is what you are attached to; all else are futile Sisyphean tasks. You would still have a similar feeling of discontent with a partner and children. Human suffering is inevitable and inherent in the very nature of the human experience/condition. From personal experience, when I am in a relationships i long for the peace and simplicity of being alone and single. When i am alone and single i long for the companionship and intimacy of a relationship. However, after enough heartache from having a partner, I have found the emptiness and hurt from being alone is more bearable than the hurt from loving and losing in a relationship. The former can be pacified with enough self love and patience. The latter tends to cause deep sadness and pain to the point where one needs to rebuild and be at the mercy of time to heal and feel better. The take away is weather you are single or with someone there will be pros and cons, likes and dislikes in both circumstances. Ultimately it is just about accepting whatever comes with a steady understanding of the impermanence of ALL feelings, states and relationships All the best

I met this girl recently, she is just like me. otherwise all the girls who came into my lilfe i just deleted them, blocked them and ignored them and made them mad. for some reason i dont like modern girls and western girls.
