Something I never commented on, but I just realized why I like your videos so much(other than the honesty, and interesting takes): you don't sell out to KZitem(to your own detriment) and respect your audience's time. At the beginning when you say "if you own the base game and just want to see the expansion content, timestamps down below". And I really appreciate it! Watch you everyday, even stuff I'm not interested in,just wanted to let you know that I'm very grateful for it!

I recently managed to acquire "The Artemis Project" after searching it for some time because it was not available in my country. Right after the first play, me and my group were certain this game instantly becomes part of the collection without any hesitation at all! Wow this is such a fantastic game - interesting and rather different player interaction, very interesting mechanisms combined together, beautiful and thematic artwork, plays up to 5 (always great when games allow that without playtime of 5 hours), pretty much for what it is - 10 out of 10 for me. Definitely recommend this game, I wonder why it is not more popular since in my opinion blows out of the water many more "popular" and higher rated games, "The Artemis Project" deserves more recognition and people playing it!!!

Great insight! I've had the Artemis Project from the first Kickstarter and found it really enjoyable. It provided a different feeling than the other dice placement game I was playing at the time, Kingsburg. It has been a while since I have had it on the table but I have been excited about the upcoming expansion for a while. As you went through your concerns I found myself agreeing with you but it sounds like the expansion will pull the game back up to a similar level of enjoyment I had with the base game when it was still new.

A nice stretch goal would be an overlay for the consolation track. Maybe make a mini tech tree or branching options overlay. Also, a game this always reminds me of is Order of the Gilded Compass. Overall, good stuff Alex.

I've been interested in Artemis Project for a while now and was looking forward to the upcoming KS/expansion. I like dice placement (Teotihuacan is one of my top 10 games). The art is nice, game play time not bad, and table size all good. But hearing about how cut-throat it is, and that the solo play is just 'ok', I think I'll be passing on this one. Thanks so much for covering it. As always...you're awesome! :)

Another cutthroat dice placement recommendation is Marco Polo, both 1 and 2 versions.

Hello!! I saw at Bgg that a reprint-kind of second edition of the base game is on the way. But I can't find any information about the changes. Does anyone know something about it?

Thanks for this, super-helpful. I like the theme and the art but I strongly dislike dice-placement as a mechanism, so this will be a hard pass for me. Thanks to your video, that's clear to me now, so I appreciate it!

The KS says 45 minutes, is that like a straight lie or is that how much time the expansion adds?

I generally find game boxed under estimate, but I also find that I tend to be a social gamer, taking time on our moves, talking to each other, etc

the relief track rules specify that you can take the current reward or any previous reward. Once you reach the end though, you no longer get a benefit.
