The Arts and Crafts buildings in Hunstanton, Norfolk, England, are unique, coming from the architects' recognition of local vernacular building traditions using local materials, but in a new way. Herbert G. Ibberson was the key architect of the 'Hunstanton School' and his house from 1908 exists to-day as a guest house. The remaining leaded glass windows of the 'Hunstanton School' show the inflence of Edward Schroeder Prior, using the English slab glass that he created. The buildings also follow Prior's principles in their careful selection of materials not only for their structural qualities, but also for their textures.
The photographs were all taken by either Nigel Pennick or Linda Kelsey-Jones, 2009-2010.
The accompanying traditional music is played by Nigel Pennick on Mountain Dulcimer (first tune, in C) and Scheitholt (second and third tunes, in D).
