@random-nz7dy
4 жыл бұрын
It's funny that the main criticism of my team (Dodgers) was that Dave Roberts did not trust the bullpen and instead put Kershaw on the mound in a situation he's not used to being in regularly. Of course the difference here being that Gerrit Cole doesn't have a postseason history of being subpar in big moments. But I feel like a j hinch was trying to avoid that same situation where he doesn't trust his bullpen and gets that same criticism if gerrit Cole blows it. I also think it's funny that each team's best chance to win with the opposite move. Dave Roberts should have gone with the bullpen after the first out given Clayton Kershaw's history. On the other hand AJ hinch should have gone with Gerrit Cole longer because he has a track record that's good
@brucestewart7371

I was at that game in LA, and Dave Roberts didn’t overthink ANYTHING. He didn’t think. He blindly put Kershaw’s 89 mph fastball in, didn’t matchup according to stats, then he put in Joe Kelly for TWO innings, let him load the bases with nobody out before he moved a muscle. Voikes I agree. the Astros manager blew it. if you are going to take him out, atleast go with your next ace. don't go to a reliever that can't even get two outs! stay with greinke or go to your next starter, like the Giants did with bumbgarner a,few years ago. some managers try to be too cute and ruin their chances of winning.

Yes, congrats to the Nationals they were obviously better prepared for Houston's pitchers. The better team won that night (not taking anything away from the Nats) Great job coaches, you out coached the Houston bench by a long shot. In my opinion, the teams just mirror each other, both are awesome to watch. .I'm sure the Nats will be in the playoffs a few more years. Actually I think they were destine to win, no matter who was pitching after Greinke ....just my two cents.... Astros fan

Yeah, that's cray-cray. 😂😂 So basically the wild card games for the respective leagues went counter to the LDS and LCS (road team won the AL WC but home field won out in the ALDS and ALCS and the home team won the NL WC, but home field was busted in the NLDS and NLCS), and then we get a World Series where whichever team is home is doomed to lose that game no matter how hard they to break that trend.
