Their music seems to find the people who need it. At a time when I was listening nonstop to the "I and Love and You" album, I used the valet parking service at the hospital; something I rarely do. I left the cd in the player, and when I picked up the car, the valet asked me about the music. She had stayed in the car for the length of one song and was so struck that she wanted to buy the album so she could hear it again. I think the Avett Brothers find a lot of fans through happenstance!

Mourning the loss of my marriage and the life I knew for the last 15 years tonight - I know the brother’s music well but this particular concert came to my playlist by chance tonight - but every song had new meaning and was exactly the combination my heart needed to hear to start to process and hopefully begin to purge the cloud of pain that the last 800 days has brought to my life.
