I can tell ya this particular metal detector is actually a decent one for 70 bucks lol.. I got one as a backup incase my garret died so I tested it with a few Morgan's and a few wheat pennies and then silver bars from 1oz to 10oz and a few sterling rings n chains then normal dimes ect. Well it done good detected it all and I knew what I was looking for the detector to tell me for each metal I was searching for at diff depths ect. Mainly silver but I went out to check a creek I took both my ace 450 and this one and I decided to try the cheaper one first and dude this one found me a amazing find I bought had a mini panic attack because I found a 1890 $20 gold liberty 7" maybe 7 1/4" down in the ground on the bank. And it's found some seated halfs and quarters civil war buttons ect. It's a damn good starter detector or a good backup. So I kept it around lol n still use it time to time. Considering it found me my first ever gold coin

Decided to get this detector as a starter. I do have some complaints but I did find something pretty cool with it: WW2 uniform button I think (Sigmund Eisner design).

Nice review Jason. That detector looks a lot like the Marnur machine I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. Almost identical. Makes me think they’re being distributed to multiple vendors by the manufacturer, which might explain the lack of branding on the box.

I absolutely appreciate the reviews. I haven't started detecting yet, so I have lots of questions, but you resolve a lot of them quickly with your concise "to the points" style. I think the name of that machine is Made In China - no warranty.

Great review. I was like jaw dropped when it said two 9 volts.😦 Pointing out that speed recovery issue makes for an awesome teacher with a heart. The awareness of warrantee quality and service also came to mind with the lack of the manufacture’s name and “Made in China”.

Probably the most frustrating part of these cheaper machines is recovery speed...a metal detector by it's very nature should detect metal right? If it skips targets because the processor is to slow might as well throw it in the trash to be honest 👍🏻

These no name machines are not worth the money. Better to buy from a reputable company such as Minelab, Garrett, Quest, Fisher, Teknetics, or even Bounty Hunter. Wanted to mention White's and Tesoro, but of course, sad, to say, they are no longer with us.

@Cruising Creation If you watch the video, the chart on the left which displays some of the results show some of these detectors that you can purchase on Amazon are not worth the money. It is better to purchase from a reputable company that has been in existence for a long time and at least has a warranty. My sister purchased such a one, and it could hardly pick up a copper penny at 3 or 4 inches. It is great that someone is showing what detectors do well and what others don't so people don't go out and waste their money on shabbily made units.

@Cruising Creation This isn't about buying a 9 year old kid a metal detector for a toy who, most likely, may not even get into the hobby. I didn't criticize the video at all and agree it is very informative and enjoyable to watch. But if someone who is serious about the hobby and wants to buy something decent to start off with, then they should probably buy a quality built detector they could even resell, if they don't enjoy it...If you spend $200 on a Sunpow metal detector, then you are throwing your money out the window.

These review videos are why you are losing subscribers. You have to many of them. You review items you won't and don't personally use. We understand you get some type of compensation for your reviews, but to sacrifice subscribers to gain a little kickback isn't worth the loss of a devoted fan base. That said, it was a nice run watching the videos of your hunts and finds. But if I wanted to watch ads and commercials, I would have subscribed to a review channel. Wishing you the best with your channel but it's time for me to find another. Best wishes to you and yours. 👍

I'm actually here because of these review videos, I happen to like them and find them interesting, to say he's losing subs because of them is really your opinion nothing more..that's like standing in line at Subway waiting to order the sandwich you like but get mad because the guy at the counter ordered a different one than yours. Just because my path is different...doesn't mean that I am lost.

@@Marinesniprx @Marinesniprx ok so you are here for these reviews. You like watching non-professionals give their opinions on products that they themselves won't use. Fair enough. But how can you trust a review by someone that has not gave a fair test to the item they are reviewing? He don't use them in the field for lengthy periods of time, he don't have the items he reviews in his arsenal of tools he uses. He only gives his opinions on these items, not in depth analysis. I know channels have people that come and go. But when he started more and more reviews, I watched his subs take a drastic drop. The point is, the channel use to be fun but lately it is clear that he lost his enthusiasm for the hobby in general.
