I am a big fan of Ayla and have read them a few times over again starting when they first came out. The parts that I love the best are the herbal healing, and how to live in those times. Plus I love animals so I love her finding them, and them becoming part of her life.

Donna here, I like the smooth juice. The yarn colors are beautiful, the Ayla yarn gave me a Starry Night sort of vibe. I love the Earth's Children series, my favorite books at the time. I don't know if you know about the movie, they really tried to follow the book, but it might be hard to follow if you didn't read the book.

The Clan of the Cave Bear is my favorite book series of all time! I'm currently listening to book 3 on audible. I'm listening to them all in order and will probably start them again when I'm done. I hadn't read them for 20 years. I've never found anything even close to how amazingly researched and written this series is. Nothing can compare.

I like the juicy bits but my kids didn’t so I usually bought “without pulp.” I had to look it up. Christmas in July started at a girls camp in North Carolina in 1933 just as a fun activity. Then a movie came out in 1940 that made it more widespread. And a church started gathering presents to send to missionaries so they’d arrive by Christmas and they called their present drive Christmas in July. And during WWII, the post office started a Christmas in July present drive to send to soldiers overseas. Thanks for another amazing episode!
