Hi Caleb, I had this same conversation yesterday with my nephews and nieces. We are Indigenous and have the same issues as other cultures. It's sad that my 7 year old nephew has more common sense that most men and women. There just needs to be more love in this world. Hugs and thank you for sharing!

Caleb, I really enjoy your podcasts and especially today appreciate so much your thoughtful words at the beginning. I am 71 years “young” and am heartbroken that we still have so much to do to make every single human feel worthy. Thank you for your thoughts. Your Throwover sweater with your hand spun is really beautiful! I look forward to watching next time.

Thank you Caleb! A great big hug sent to you (felt you needed one at one point). Gorgeous material and bags. Love the colours of the yarn you are spinning and the green dyed one and..... everything 😄 Happy Pride weekend from the UK 🌈 We are in amazing times at the moment. Lots of changes that have and had to happen. Share your philosophy of slowing down and appreciating and of course of being kind. Thank you! 🌿🌈

Thank you for the passionate monologue about racism. Systematic racism built this country and continues in all aspects of our society from minimum wage through redlining neighborhoods. One of the phrases I have *hated* my whole life is "I guess we'll have to agree to disagree". No. I will never agree that you having the "right" to disagree that everyone inherently has equal rights. That opinion is wrong. No discussion. Proud of all the institutions in Minneapolis who are defunding the police; protesting every day; educating and listening. Heartbroken that police brutality has doubled down around the world. Also heartbroken still that 45 continues to double down on his misogynistic, racist, homophobic beacon to his base.

i am not sure why i can barely hear you on my desk top, but can hear the podcast clearly on my tablet, now that i know, i'll be using the tablet! your words are very eloquent, but i really connected to the feeling of being baffled that in 2020 we are still in this place, im a woman in my late '60's and grew up in a time when civil rights was at the forefront and yet, we've only gotten this far in all those years? totally baffling to me as well, let us hope going forward change will finally happen and there will truly be equality & justice for people of color. i really enjoy your wide variety of crafts and gardening, your yarn is beautiful and i love the color combos you've picked for future projects, your bags are beautiful! thanks for another great podcast, looking forward to the next, stay safe, Caleb! ♥

Hey Caleb 👋🏻 I love that you are soft spoken but I had my volume on max and still it was so hard to hear .... your camera and lighting are fantastic though and it shows off you lovely yarn collection and beautiful makes so that’s a definite plus! Thank you for your well spoken words and thoughts on the systematic racism that is at the forefront and is deserving of our attention. My hope is that we as a country (and the world) we can finally make real changes to make true equality and social reforms a real thing and not an ideal never to be reached. Your great Aunt sounds like she was a real trailblazer and wonderful woman and I’m sure you will miss her but what an amazing life she lived. My father is 90 and it’s hard to comprehend all the things that happened and things that changed over the course of that time. Your spinning and projects are so gorgeous and it’s been fun catching up with your podcasts so thank you for sharing your talents with us.

Automatic thumbs up. Thank you for speaking up about racism. We all need to learn more and do better, and having these conversations is vital. Too many people want to avoid hearing about it because it makes them uncomfortable...but it should make us uncomfortable, and we need to sit with that discomfort while we continue to learn. We need to keep having these conversations and hope eventually they reach more people who then also want to do the work. It's sad that it's 2020 and that we haven't progressed more as a society in regards to these issues, but I hope all of this is a real catalyst of change.

I have no problem hearing or listening to you, Caleb! Thank you for raising and elaborating on the subject of racism. I think that it is sad that in 2020, we still need to address such issues as basic human decency, kindness and tolerance due to the fact that they are not practiced by all, even though, as you mentioned, most of us are genetically similar. Sorry to hear about your aunt! Sincere condolences! Love that gorgeous green hand spun yarn! Amazing colorwork sweater!!! Best regards and support from Israel!

Amen. I appreciate your insight. Bringing truth and light to the conversation regarding basic human rights, human equality, human race issues. It is incomprehensible to me that in my lifetime we have not been able to sort this out. It seems we (humans) are so intent upon defining and dividing in order to feel a sense of belonging and forget to just be real. We all belong to the family of man. Thank you, brother. Enjoying the knitting, too! Keep the goodness coming.

When today's podcast first started, I was thinking, "Hooray, he got the sound figured out." By the end of your intro, it was back to turning the volume as high as it would go and also turning up the hearing aids as high as they would go and it was downhill from there. Most podcasts I watch I don't need to wear my hearing aids and can watch the podcast on my desktop computer setup at about 50-75% volume, depending on the podcast. I do enjoy your knitting projects and the yarn you show, but it really would be nice to hear what you are saying about these things.
