John was amazing. He was Mr. Tough guy, a 'teddy boy' (of that era); he looks as though he would slash your face without thinking. And yet, he could write the most tender and sensitive lyrics. Timeless beauty that touches us so deeply with sweet memories of youth. I remember hearing the "Baroque" piano solo for the first time when I was a kid and thinking it was so unusual and beautiful. The lovely harmonies and John's profound lyrics. It was the same year of the "Baroque" string quartet in "Yesterday". This mixture of styles sounded magical and like nothing I had ever heard before. It still moves me to tears almost 60 years later. Many thanks to the Beatles and their producer, George Martin for profoundly enriching our lives, even now.

Wonderful! I've never heard the soft harmonies so clearly. The best part is you have made them more distinct without bringing them too far forward. You have to give the Beatles, George Martin, Geoff Emerick and the other EMI engineers for giving you some good materials to work with. In addition to all the other factors that made them so popular, their songs jumped out of the radio compared to many of the other songs popular at the same time.

Another great remix of an absolute classic. I'm always impressed by your work! After listening to the Red Album several times, I'm a little disappointed with the new remixes. Giles Martin could or even should have gotten more out of the songs with the new technology. I'm really looking forward to the new remix of Rubber Soul. I still don't understand why George Martin mixed the Rubber Soul album so badly after 3 proper stereo albums (A hard day's night, Beatles for Sale and Help!). Can we look forward to a new remix of She loves you? This song is the biggest disappointment for me on the Red Album. In any case, continue with your really nice remixes. Best regards from Bottrop, Germany
@britt2001b
6 ай бұрын
Thank you, I'm honored that you're impressed! I too am slightly disappointed with the 'Red & Blue' remixes. I was very excited at first but after the hype died down I now feel it was a rushed job. It had the potential to be so much more! Hopefully 'Rubber Soul' will not suffer from this. I have heard George Martin's justification of the awkwardly mixed 'Rubber Soul' was due to his approach to how the mono mixes were created. He discovered when the stereo mix was folded down to create a mono mix, the vocals would jump 3db up, thus a mismatch balance of vocals and instrumentation. To prevent this mismatch, he simply put the vocals off center, but unfortunately at the expense of a nice sounding stereo mix! Before, mono mixes and stereo mixes were done independently. 'She Loves You' is an on-going project. The source is so inferior that my results haven't achieved the sonic requirements that would allow me to publish. My ultimate goal for 'She Loves You' is to do what I've done with 'In My Life', that is to separate the 3 part harmony voices across the stereo stage. Hopefully a better source will someday allow me to meet this goal. Thanks for your comment and thank you very much for listening!

Another great job of seperating the vocals. This was always a tough one to listen to to see who was doing the back vocals. Sometimes with Johns songs , he would do all the backing harmonies but after listening to this seperated vocals I think I can hear Paul helping here.
@britt2001b
6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, it's definitely Paul doing the majority of the backing. I never really recognized the third harmony part that I placed in the right channel until I de-mixed this part and reassembled it. I never thought George sang on this tune, and he is not listed on the album's credits, but after the isolation it sure sounds like George. Although, in some places it sounds like John. So, I could be wrong in crediting George as the third singer but he does have a distinctive voice and in my opinion it's him.
@danielbanic3738
6 ай бұрын
@@britt2001b Defitantly most songs all three would provide harmonies but I don;t think George is in this one. He's always known to sing low notes in harmonies which is a magic key to their harmonies but if hes in this one he would have to be singing the high falselto parts but probabluy not.
@britt2001b
6 ай бұрын
This certainly is a mystery and I'm very inclined to agree with you as listening to the isolated track the parts that I recognize as George sounds as if he's straining. At other times, it sounds like John and now I can hear traces of voices that sound like Paul. Unfortunately, the de-mixed track only isolates what the compressor allows to get through and it's not like having a pure, clean original track to hear (but it does fit in like a puzzle piece when inserted with the rest of the mix). It's possible there are some 'punch-ins' but I'm not aware of them making much use of this because of the limited number of tracks they had to work with.
