The Beatles had been hung out to dry several times by inexperienced television crews botching up the sound, and elected to lip synch to these tracks. Something they did quite a lot of. All of their Ready Steady Go appearances were lip synched. Also, there's no way they could have played those songs live the way they edited them so hard. But everytime I watch this vid I chuckle to myself because John decided to play a prank on Paul by singing (or pretending) lead on "Can't Buy me Love." A rarity in that Apple Corps are not the exclusive rights holder for this footage. It is owned by Dave Clark. They had to credit Clark for the use of the video and soundtrack on the Anthology project. Dave Clark is also the exclusive rights holder for all the Ready Steady Go programmes featuring The Beatles. The soundtrack was recorded at IBC Studios with Glyn Johns at the desk.
