I just read an article that said xylitol is huge in creating blood blockages. Use xylitol and your chances of stroke, cardiac arrest, and aneurism skyrockets…

That’s high doses, like when you buy and use it as a ground sugar substitute

Can you rinse your mouth directly with Xylitol? That seems reasanoble as gums contain additives and other garbadge.

Better to just eat a pinch of granular or brush your teeth with granular on your toothbrush. Yes - that will work and is an excellent way to brush young kids teeth.

@@dr.elliephillips Thank you very much. However, if I opt for direct rinsing with xylitol 2 times a day, does this bring me any benefits compared to chewing gums with xylitol or does it potentially harm me in some way ? I take one tea spoon with xylitol in the morning after breakfast and then at night after dinner. Is eating better for teeth than rinsing?

@@gringoroko The ideal amount for oral health is between 1-2 teaspoons per day (5-10 grams) but it is best in small divided amounts. The way it works is that a pinch of xylitol will stimulate a flow of healing saliva into your mouth. It is this saliva that you want to heal your teeth and gums.

It has GI of 7 and if you don't go overboard with it you should be fine. However, if used regularly (as he suggested) it could actually cause some digestion issues and other problems...
