Well it’s kinda expensive bc of how small most towns are and they need to make more money than a nyc hotel or museum

Thanks for this video! I’m seriously considering leaving Los Angeles and moving to North Adams. I lived in the Boston area in the 80s and loved it.

I've lived in the Berkshires my entire life and you really did a beautiful job of how amazing it is to live here. If you ever were to go back, my suggestion would be to visit the Southern Berkshires as well, it's just as/even more beautiful than the north. The trails and mountains are so beautiful, and it would be really cool to see more of that in the future. Thank you for treating our county with respect and dignity.

What an excellent overview of the Berkshires...as soon as you said “aesthetics” I knew the video would be special. Art, food, breweries, spas, history...you covered it all in an informative and entertaining way. Thank you!

Love the contrast between your more serious travel video and Brandon's behind-the-scenes, hilarious companion vlog for the trip. I hope you take him along on more of your trips so we can get that dual perspective more often.

Nice video. Pittsfield is my home. We call it the "Pitts" lol, but the overall area is great which I do appreciate. I just saw Brandi Carlile perform here this summer in Lenox. (Spectacular to say the least)

This was a terrible view of the Berkshires. All the time spent was in hotels/inns/spas/ restaurants/ breweries. They were in N. Adams and didn't even mention Mt. Greylock. Did they spent any amount of those 3 days in the woods and rivers of the Berkshires? This could have been a guide to any town or region in the country and apparently they never made it to the S. Berkshires or any part of the Appalachian Trail. What about the Norman Rockwell Museum, or the Red Lion, or any of the small villages that dot the area.There may have been a view of Stockbridge Bowl but if so, why was it not mentioned. The Berkshires are so much more than what they showed and it looks like they missed it all, other than the overnight accomodations.

Hi Kurt - everything you suggested sounds great, but as you can see that is a lot of material to cover, in addition to our already full schedule! It would be super fun to make a series of videos exploring this region in depth, and visiting some of the sites that you mention, however, like everything in life, that requires funding, which unfortunately doesn't exist in that capacity right now. Hopefully in the future both myself and Berkshire Tourism can operate with more cash on hand and produce content going as indepth as you suggested!

Wow dude. Are you sure you aren't from Jersey? Read the title, 3 Day trip. Maybe there are just too many great things in the area to cover in a 15 minute video.

Kurt, thanks for your comment. I watched the video, and as you said, didn't get what I was looking for from it. We're going there in two days, for 4 nights, staying in Pittsfield. Could you recommend some itinerary for people who like to walk and dive into a real life, not the upscale hotel/spa accommodations?
@kurtbeck2779

@@rgs822 Google: Mount Graylock, Monument Mountain,The Ice Glen, Mt. Everitt Reservation, Guilders Pond, Bartholemews Cobble, Sage's Ravine Trail, Undermountain Trail (both connect to the Appalachian Trail and these are tough trails), Stagecoach Tavern for some great food and rest ( they welcome hikers so you do not have to be dressed for dinner), Railroad Street in Great Barrington, the already mentioned Rockwell Museum and Naumkeag, The Red Lion, Alice's (Alices's Restaurant) and the church where the infamous Thanksgiving Dinner party took place . This is now the Guthrie Center and still has occasional music with Tom Rush being a regular when he can be here at all. You should also stop at Tanglewood in Lenox just because of the view down into the Bowl...I could go on and on. This is just a starter but just take a ride and get lost. Let the roads take you where they go and you'll find so many little towns like Marlboro, Richmond, and Sheffield....small trout streams like the Konkapot River whose monster trout had been served in NYC restaurants in the early 1900's. Any hotel or motel you find will be better than good and the further you get from major populations the better and will be more affordable than the big name venues....Go find em and happy travels...................kurt
