Another tip could be if any found around and still leftover is to buy a SL7 S-works "old generation" in clearance instead of the Specialized SL8 😊

I would advise anyone who isn't double lefthanded to learn how to build bikes. It is really not that complicated. With 4000$ you can get a pretty decent full carbon frame set from a Chinese brand(often with custom paintjob available), carbon wheelsets with 30mm+ wide rims, and a 105 di2 or Etap AXS Groupset. And you will still likely have some money to spare to spent on a powermeter etc. (recommendated chinese brands: ICan, Elves, Hygge) Pros: - Price - You will have the specifications that you need in terms of size like stem length, crank arm length, handlebar width. - if something is broken on your bike you know how to fix it and you notice issues sooner. Cons: - Timeconsuming Get good tools (but no need to buy premium tools bike "parktool") and don't try to rush things, this could lead to costly mistakes. However the risk of really messing something completely up are very low.

Well if you're new at building bicycle you should try going on cheaper stuff tbh. $500 max, so it's easier to build the second bike that are much more expensive without risking making a costly mistake

For people who already in the same hobbies around a year this should be no issue at all. I also build all my bike from scratch. But for people who is new to this hobby, buying this bike would save a lot of time. But still I agree with you that building a bike is more "entertaining"

Get a Giant Defy Advanced for $4k. YOU are not a professional rider. YOU will be more comfortable (and thus faster) on an Endurance geometry. Slamming your stem and fighting over grams is silly for us mere mortals. Get the best wheels and tires you can find.

People with money buy what they want. Everyone doesn't even "need" a bike over $500 ffs.

Your price on the van rysel's are crazy, in Portugal they are being sold for 8K for the pro version and 3700€ for the rival axs one, so 6.75k£ and 3,12k£, instead of the 9k£ and 4,5k£ here announced

0:20 " . . . pretty much the exact same bike . . ."? Nope! Only a CLOSE replica. The pros equipment are NOT the same for the common pedestrian. Just to stretch my point a bit more for example, The upper side of the Top Tube of the pro bikes are VERY much lighter than the underside.

You can also save a shed load of money by not buying any of these heavy, slow, proprietary parts bikes. No thanks, I'll stick with my collection of 20-25 year old totally dialled in, specific to purpose bikes, which is why I instead bought in all of the spares & consumables required to run them in perpetuity. 5.1 to 6.25 kgs is not something you give up for the latest marketing hype.
