You just sold me! I just now purchased one on the QIDI web site for $100 off. It's currently going for $2199, and I wasn't charged sales tax or shipping, which makes it just that much better! (I was going to purchase the QIDI X-Max until I saw your video on the i-Fast.)

For dual-head 3D printers that can use carbon fiber, we would choose from the following: 1.QIDI i-fast 2.Flashforge creator 3 pro 3.snapmaker J1S

Have you ever done a dimensional layout study to determine how well the QIDI I-FAST holds designed dimensions vs printed dimensions? I am interesting in sharing data.

Great review. I was wondering how the Qidi-i-fast would compare to the Ultimaker S3, as both have duel print heads and can print similar materials.

Thanks Nexi, a great review. I have owned a Qidi X-plus for nearly 4 years, and had excellent results with it. So I decided to stick with Qidi and upgrade to the iFast. Having only just seen your review, I'm relieved, as the new machine is coming tomorrow. I can't wait to start using it. This will be my first dual-filament printer. It's a shame that PVA support filament is so fantastically expensive though.

how does this printer compete against the X1C? In terms of speed and quality.

I owned an i-fast for around 6 months and it is one of the worst things I have ever bought; it is a slow lumbering oaf of a machine. I never got a decent quality print from it in any material and it was far from fast. I sold the I-fast and bought a Bambu Lab X1C and I couldn't be happier with the performance.

Hi. Thanks for sharing the best ones. I have checked commercial color printer, color laser printer and many different types of printers all my life. One cannot pick and choose amongst those because all have their specifications but it is just that it depends on your requirement. I completely rely on Axis Business Technologies for copiers and printers related decisions. They have been such a help because apart from providing good services, they also offer repair services.

Incorrect on the PEI build plate, its actually best for Nylon, PC and other high temp materials, the standard build plate is PC coated and is best for PLA and ABS, the black side of the stock build plate is less than useless and I wouldn't waste my time with it, you can actually make do with just the PEI build, or better replace them with dual sided powder coated PEI plate from Enegentic or similar clone, these plates warp less and work for TPU/PLA/ABS/PETG/NYLON/PC.....

PEI build plates have terrible adhesive for Nylon and Polycarbonate filament. Please do some research before you write comments like this.

@@NexiTech I don't need to do research, I mainly print Nylon and PC, and I'm a reseller for QIDI-TECH printers, I print PA-CF, PA6-CF, PA12-CF, PC and PC-CF daily on multiple machines, all on Powder Coated Textured PEI build plates, so I do know what I'm talking about, my channel has videos of my QIDI TECH's and Ratrig's printing PC-CF on PEI plates.

This printer isn’t made to print in dual color. It’s for printing support material in a different material to be able to print with 0 gap to get high quality prints in PA/PC.

It's a universally recognized print that tells the viewer more about the printer than a random, unrecognized print would. I don't see how printing anything else would have improved his video.

This gave me the idea to feed my DIY filament dryer through the _bottom_ of the dryer case and directly into the top of the enclosure. But, for this much money, this printer should have a dryer/feeder for the filament.

Hello Nexi, I purchased an i-fast a few months ago and I recently decided to purchase some new nozzles for the low temp extruders but they don't fit into the heat block threads. They're too big. My 7mm wrench that fits the original nozzles is too small to fit the new ones that I bought (MK10 Nozzle for 3D Printer, 18 Pcs M7 Brass Extruder Head Hotend Nozzles 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm fit 1.75mm Filament). Can you please tell me what size/type I should have purchased? I can't find any definitive answer online.

QIDI I-FAST has high failure extruders. Either do not feed filament or plug up easily. QIDI DOES NOT HONOR WARRANTY.

Hello Nexi Tech, thanks for this review! I have a question for you: I would need a reliable 3D printer, i think it’s called a “prosumer” printer. I have had a bad experience with Zortrax M300 dual (a lot of issues related to layer shifting and platform warping); would you suggest this QIDI ? Thanks
