Iv'e had mine for one week. I use them only for PC. I love the midrange that picks up all the instruments clearly. Also they were only $300 a pair for $500 quality sound. When cranked all the way, they sound great except my room is a bit small for these cranked. Many complained about the first version of LP-6 having a hiss. This 2nd wave has zero hiss.

You nailed it! I couldn't agree more. They are sooooo dead silent too, which is super impressive.

what's underrated the most is the fact that u can adjust the sound of the Kalis to your room. That's a feature that no monitors in this price class have (at least that I heard of). Of course, some of them have high and lowpass filters but that's all... What would you say though, are the Kalis better than for example the Adam audio t7Vs?
@ZachWirchak
Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay! I love my LP6's... they are great for me as a "utility" set of monitors. Adam Audio sent me some T7V's awhile back and I liked them. The high end was nice and smooth. I wish I had the Kali's and the same time as the T7V's so I could have done a back to back comparison. I would say they are on the same level, I would be comfortable mixing on either set. But, the Kali Audio LP-6's are $100 cheaper for the pair.

Great review!! How do they compare to the adam audio t7v's? Do they get louder?
@ZachWirchak
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words! As for loudness I've never really put them to the limit, but they both get plenty loud enough for my needs. I've have the Kali Audio pair fully broken in now and really like them. Sound wise, I'd say the Adam's might have a slight smoother top end, but the Kali's probably have a more pronounced mid range. So might come down to taste with which an individual would prefer.

How do they compare to the Focal Alphas?
@ZachWirchak

In my opinion there is more detail in the Focal's and depth so mixing is more comfortable with them. But the flip side is they're twice as expensive.

How do they compare with the Focal Alphas you have as far as high end?
@ZachWirchak
Жыл бұрын
Great question. To me the Focal's have more detail/depth across the board. Both monitors are great at not coloring your sound, have smooth high end and come across very flat. But at the $398 price point for brand new Kali Audios... they're hard to beat.

@@ZachWirchak Just tested more $$$ Adam A7x compared to the Focal Alpha 65 and I couldn't tell much difference!

@@WWeiss-nv5vz Nice! In my opinion, the Alpha's sound way better than what they cost. I got a chance to listen to some higher end Focal's a few months ago (Focal Trios)... the Trios did sound better for sure. But $6000 vs $600...... That is a big price difference.

Hi, can this be used for normal music listening in Spotify using the 3.5mm Aux input or pair them along with TV's? Or is it strictly only for studio mixing and near field listening only?
@ZachWirchak
Жыл бұрын
You can absolutely use them for any kind of music listening. The only thing to keep in mind would be controlling the volume. If you wanted to run them for TV audio, you'd need to have a device that would control the volume of the Kali Audio speakers, unless you're ok adjusting the volume physically on the back of each speaker.

@@ZachWirchak Ok..thats great.I can manage with the volume on the TV. I was considering the Q Acoustics M20 and the PSB Imagine XB's. Would you recommend the LP-6's over these options?
@ZachWirchak
Жыл бұрын
@@avnsiva82 I'm not super familiar with the Q Acoustics M20's, but just taking a quick look at them, I feel the Kali's would be better. Especially if you get them dialed in with the dip switches in the back.

Do they have an input going str8 to the pc or an external sound card?
@ZachWirchak

You could run a splitter from your PC to them and use them just like a pair of regular PC speakers. I'd recommend an audio interface so you can have easier volume control, but if that is not an option, you can totally run them just to your PC.
