Army veteran as of last June. I completely and 100 percent agree with you brother. It’s important to make that time for your family or simply yourself. You have to cultivate those relationships with family because once your service ends, they will be the ones still there with you.

Guys take your leave yes but also make sure its used properly for instance if you joined to escape from your situation at home or to restart your life then dont go back you might have changed alot these other people will not have honestly as a member of a diffrent nationalities defence force its not wrong to get in your truck or car and just drive to go see shit you have never seen or go camping with just you and your close fam or friends you dont have to go "home"

If you are serving overseas, take your leave! and even more importantly, DON'T GO HOME!. Explore the region around you and have fun! I'm looking at you Oki marines! You have mainland Japan and the whole Asia to explore. You can visit your family once you are state side.

Semper Fi brother. You need those leave days. Liberties that are refused are a failure of your superiors (yes, that includes the screw ups that have been restricted). All you NCO's out there who make it a habit to restrict liberties because someone didn't clean their room, that it YOUR failure to properly lead your Marines (soldiers, sailors, airmen). The act of restricting liberty, does not make you look good...it simply informs leadership that you cannot do your job, not to mention the fact that you are singlehandedly reducing Troop moral. Yes, sometimes it is necessary to make a point, but there are those NCO's that make a habit of it. Stop; it isn't painting you as a good leader, and it will cost you down the course of your career path.

Rahh Toxic Leadership..most try to act like drill instructor's without ever going to DI School..there's a reason for the Leadership Traits and so on so easily available to every Marine and soo very very few Marines actually read, learn, apply them. I guarantee if they'd apply them and take care of their Jr Marines the Jr Marines will take care of them.

What up, Devil! I completely agree with you. Quality time with loved ones, as well as yourself, is very important, something the Corps made me realize that I didn't before. You have leave for a reason, use it! Take that time to hug your wife and remind her you love her, mentally reset, enjoy the freedoms and privileges you defend, etc. Congrats again on the 100k subscribers, definitely well earned! Stay motivated, Semper Fi! PS- How did you accrue 90 days of leave? I thought anything after 60 is automatically forfeited.

If you're getting out though you better make sure you have plenty of leave so you can double dip with your new job. Three months getting two checks was so nice.

For me, constantly being around people is exhausting. I would love to go out and do something but I just never feel like it. That's why I'm that dude that just stays in the barracks all weekend and watches TV. When I come back to work on Monday, I hear people talking about the crazy stuff they did and I feel like I missed out. There's just not enough time for me to recharge and then go out and then spend time alone again to recharge so I don't feel drained all week.

Hey AONIXO I need help with a fishy recruiter. What do you know about MSG (8152) my recruiter is telling me I can have the job as soon as I graduate from Parris Island but other people are telling me I need to reach a certain rank before I can even think about MSG. So is my recruiter lying to me or is he actually telling the truth? My first job choice was infantry but now he is trying to talk me into MSG.

That’s not MSG that’s MCSF “Marine Corps Security Forces” those guys guard sites that are very very important! Your thinking about embassy duty which in fact you have to be in for a certain time! 8152 attend SOI as well from what I heard

I’m in MCSF school rn about to graduate in 2 weeks honestly U can go to msg after ITB we had kids who did that But u probably go mcsf which isn’t a bad choice at all There’s 3 things u could do at mcsf 1 is prp which is guarding nuke subs in Washington state or Georgia ,fast which is a good gig it’s more like the infantry life and then eighth and i that’s in dc and guard important people
