Seriously agree with the talking to your baby! My son is 15 months and says SO many words/understand so many words and understand things I ask him or tell him. His doctor was seriously impressed. And it’s because we don’t baby talk to him and we work with him daily. Plus lots of reading!

Marisa Richardson That's so true me and my siblings were all able to talk somewhat correct sentences at 2 and of course it's also down to talent but my parents always talked normal to us. My friends 1 1/2 year old only uses single words but understands a lot you say because she talks normal to him. There is also really no reason for talking to a child like they can't understand stuff even later. My high school classmate had a child as a teenager and when the whole class went to dinner she was around 4-5 and I talked to her pretty much like I would to an adult just a bit slower and softer. My classmate texted me later that night that her daughter mentioned me at bed time saying she really enjoyed talking to me.

You and Arron Williams are my fave KZitem moms. My son will be 10 months on the 5th of Feb. He is currently going thru what his pediatrician calls "separation anxiety" dont know how cause I'm a stay at home mom and hes my only Child. So demanding, impatient but independent at the same time. Crawls, trys to walk, cruises the furniture, wants to feed himself. But if I leave the living room for 2 seconds he has a complete meltdown. Anyhow your videos give me hope and help me breath. Charles is alot like Carter "aside from his random meltdowns" happy, smart, cute as hell. Thank you for continuing to keep your channel going. You help chill me out. Love the "life" aspect of it. Everything your doing is perfect, life, vlog, cleaning, cooking, organizations, todos, baby. Goals! I know its a long comment but again THANK YOU!

I can't wait to check out the book you recommended. I have to say, though, that shopping cart covers were one of my favorite products to use with both of my babies. I bought the one that has a removable contoured pillow, and I was able to start strapping my kids in as young as 4 months old to shopping carts, which is so much easier than taking them grocery shopping in their car seat! We used them in restaurant high chairs for months too to help them sit up better. There's a ton of different styles and I really did love mine! Thanks so much for these videos, I love hearing about new baby products!!

I love my shopping cart cover! Mine is different and I'm able to attach toys so keep him entertain while we shop and a zippered part to hold snacks, wallet, phone. I recommend an ezpz mat for meals! We also have a abc foam mat that my 8 month son loves to take apart and keeps him entertained for awhile. It's also been helpful as he's trying to pull himself up on everything and the foam mat provides a soft landing for him. If you want a cheap but good umbrella stroller, j for jeep is awesome.

Omg!!! Our baby Quentin looooooves the joovy spoon! I found it (hardly) used for $40 and it’s been the cheapest “babysitter” you could ever wish for. I’m going to get the book and the flash cards. Thanks for the suggestions 🙏🏽❤️

I grew up in a close knit village of a family. My son literally sees his: grandparents, aunts and uncles everyday since he was born. And I totally agree with the importance of talking with your child everyday. He is constantly exposed to language by talking with many different adults everyday and now that he's 3 his language and critical thinking skills are amazing and he speaks 3 different languages fluently (English, Spanish and Japanese). He can makes puns, uses sarcasm effectively, can express his ideas and tell you why he doesn't agree with certain things. Not to mention he's been reading in English AND Spanish since he was 2 years old.

Loved your suggestions - I'm going to have to look into the high chair and sound machine for sure! I'm pregnant with my second and third (twins), so price is a big issue when stocking up on essentials! Things I love right now for my almost 2 year old are our Chariot stroller (we live in a rural area so I use it for walks, running, and biking and have gotten my moneys worth for sure), Aden and Anais dream blanket (it's 4 layers of muslin so I don't worry about it in her crib), and the classic Tupperware sippy cup. I also love the replay dishes, but they're very expensive to have shipped to Canada - they stand up well to toddler antics!

I have 5 kids, all born within 7 years and I have been through MANY strollers-( probably 10 or more) uppababy Cruz is my favorite one for everyday use. A few tips: get the Mesa car seat if you have another baby...amazing seat and clicks right in so easily, also get the bassinet as well if you have another, and the board that attaches on it is wonderful for 2 years and up (this is of course if you have more kids haha). I do also like the BOB strollers for amusement parks, the beach, long walks etc, but not everyday use. I’ve recently fell in love with replay dishes and cups too. Check them out. Xo

I do have to say that the teething necklace for me is a lifesaver! My baby is teething right now and he's also learning how to walk and he loves to be standing up. Thats all great BUT on Sunday's when it's time for church it's a little difficult. He gets tired of just sitting on my lap for almost two hours and I understand he's a baby he wants to play but I want him to stay as quiet as possible so he won't disrupt me and the people around us and I always make sure to wear the teething necklace. Whenever I see him stating to get fuzzy I'll give him the necklace and he will chew/bite on it for a while and he's back to his calm cute adorable self 😊👍🏻

It's amazing what talking to your child can do for them. My oldest daughter started talking at 11 months. She said "hi" first, then "hallelujah" and took off from there. She's now four and her vocabulary is still so beyond her age. I sometimes struggle to remember she's only 4. My middle child was a little late with speech, but once she hit 15 months she went from saying 2 words to 2-3 word sentences. It's pretty crazy.

My daughter-in-law found these great snack containers made by Munchkin. They are BPA free with a swirled, soft, silicone lid so that the little ones can easily reach in and get Puffs or any other snack but they don't soul and are easy to wash! My grandson used it until he was around 4 (especially in the car), so it's not too late to get them for Carter. I know they sell them on Amazon and at Walmart, not sure about Target. On Amazon I looked up Munchkin Snack Catcher. They are close to $21 for a pack of 4. We have a lot of young Mom's in my family and they all LOVE THEM (as do us Grandma's)!
