I'm no Fiat expert, but I expected the old Panda 4x4 to be in the list. That Dino though... 😍

For me: 124 Sport Spider CS1 (1973, 118hp in Europe). Best mix of driving for fun and daily use abiliity (the 2.4 liter Dino Spider is very nice but I wouldn't drive that on a daily basis).

I've had numerous X1/9's and the old 124 Spiders. The 124's leaked around the vent window. There was just no way to seal that area. If you kept your car outside, you'd be well served by putting a small towel on the sill to absorb water during rain storms. Not quite as bad when you were moving, but your hand on the steering wheel would definitely get wet. On the other hand, the X1/9 sealed very tightly. The only issue I ever had was on the '74 I owned where the outside dash vents had fresh air coming in from the scuttle area, and there were no flaps to keep out the cold. The only way to regulate the air volume was to close the inside vent or direct it away from you. You could adjust the heat (the heater was from the 4 door sedan) in the X1/9 to at least heat the air, but until the car was hot, you'd get blasted with cold air. To solve this engineering failure, in the coldest part of the year, I put a thin wood panel over the intake houses on each side of the car, held in by household glass glazing putty. Easy to remove in the Spring.

Great video, really enjoyed it. I’ve had a few FIAT’s over the years, I’m 67 now. 131 Sport, Strada/Ritmo, 132, 125, several Punto’s - cooking version - ,Tipo, 1990’s Cinquecento, 1980’s Uno, Mk1 Panda, Barchetta in the 90’s, 2010 Fiorino van, use of a Coupe for a month when it was released and, from the FIAT stable, a metallic black (nice) Lancia Delta GTie and an Alfa 156 twin spark in 2000. My current FIAT - for the past 10 years - a 1970, left hand drive 500. Without doubt, that’s the best FIAT I’ve ever had. No one ‘does’ small cars as well as FIAT.

I worked for Fiat in the 90s and I think this was their best era. With a wide variety of cars from the Cinquecento to the Ulysse with highlights in the lineup like the Cinquecento Sporting, the Punto GT, the Bravo HGT, the barchetta and the Coupé. Wonderful cars and way more reliable than most people think.

I'm restoring a Fiat Dino Spider right now. These little cars are so under appreciated. They took a F2 race motor and stuck it into a tiny 2 seat sports car. People are just now catching on after so many were destroyed by rust and neglect. Pininfarina design when they were at their peak with Ferrari. The 60's were the best for purity of design and driving experience.

To me the Fiat Uno Turbo was really outstanding, though I did enjoy owning a; 125, 130 saloon, 500D nova, newer 500 Abarth, and now just have just 20v turbo coupes. And to this day none of them have left my standing at the side of the road, wondering where my life went wrong...

This is a tough one. I really like the original 500, 124 and Dino. But the Barchetta and Coupe Turbo are probably my favourites, the Coupe just nudging it to the top spot. I’d say the Coupe and Multipla were the last hurrah for Fiat. Cars were mundane and went downhill from there.

Definitely the Dino Coupe, but somehow I don't like the convertible version. After that, the old 124 Spider, which is just so much classier than the new one. Loved the X1/9 too. I also had a thing about the 130 coupe (but hey, I like the RR Camargue too). But like most people, I would lust after one then go a buy something that is far less likely to melt in a shower or break down.

Bit of motoring trivia the noughties Panda was originally going to called Gingo but Renault objected to that name sounded like Twingo do like the 90's Fiat Coupe and the Barchetta roadster and the Multipla MPV very practical people carrier I do like the styling like Marmite love it or hate it love the wedge X1/9 of a favourite of mine when I was a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's Happy 125th Birthday to Fiat 🎉🎈🎊

The peak are popular car like the 500 ancient and modern, the Panda, the 600 of 1955, Topolino, and the Uno and Punto, luxury cars are not the peak of Fiat in the last 50 / 60 years, only the Fiat 130 Coupe for the style is a peak, but if should be a 4 doors saloon version like the prototype Fiat 130 Opera of Paolo Martin Pininfarina, if this prototype was a series product with a lower price.
