The CT flying fox is definitely on my list. Would be a good general purpose hatchet/pack axe, or would be good to use in conjunction with a chainsaw to pound felling wedges.

This is awesome. Dont sleep on those Snow& Neally axes. Give it an hour or so with a file and puck and it will work for you. Have the 3.5lb and Belt axe and they are both great C&T is always quality. My Woodcraft is a dream axe and my 5lb Dayton splits very well. All but the Dayton were bought from WT

Any opinions about Best Made Co BMC axe? Hudson Bay head I've seen online. Seems pretty pricey.

I had a council tool woodcraft pack axe. The quality control must be horrible. It pissed me off how bad the quality was. I even said they its a disgrace that USA is stamped on the head. The handle was lobsided and the wrong was uneven. The handle was off almost 30 degrees and the grind was off a quarter inch atleast
