Mr. King's licks and tone are so signature. But he adds so many layers of subtlety by using dynamics, phrasings, time displacement, minor tweaks to his volume/tone knobs, etc. Crazy good stuff...

He was definitely the KING of the BLUES! I’m glad I had the pleasure of seeing him live. He put on a FANTASTIC SHOW! Something I’ll always remember!

If you have ever seen BB King in his prime it was a marvel to "Watch and Listen". BB sang, played and directed the band all while telling his story of life. My family has experienced his kindness several times when we viewed his shows. RIP BB.

Any doubt about his being an innovator and one of the great influences ?.. look at the body of work he did...I copied BB before I copied other more modern guitar players when I learned many moons ago...I am still learning some of his licks now...

Yes, the Three Kings were all very different and all very influential. That said, B.B. played tons of stuff over the years that Freddie and Albert simply didn't have the chops to play.
