The stock brakes for road use are amazing and very good on track as well. Now with these two piece discs and race pads it’s gonna be different level.

Do the brake discs stay black after use? Or is it just an initial coating that wears off?

The brakes on the G-platform are good from standard, the rear set up is absolute shite, the calliper they have used is because they have opted for the electric handbrake, same as Merc, Audi etc. They need to go back to a proper handbrake then use the four piston setup on the rear👌 The F-platform M cars had this & it worked a treat!! Would never touch EBC brakes, might as well put plastic plates on for brakes, stay OEM & change the pads to track pads for the day then change back for daily use. You’re gonna get brake dust so quit f’king moaning ffs & deal with it yeah!

Do bluestuff pads destroy rotors? I've read some very mixed reviews however bluestuff have been out for sometime. I can't help but think negative reviews are the old compound. Ill be using on a m850 coupe.

Warped rotors? Antiquated thought process yeah? Pad transfer more likely right? I have a habit of overheating mine and causing this sensation while also absolutely obliterating pads

Hey! Majority of brakes will provide brake dust, try these r44performance.com/products/psi-bmw-sp1-dustless-brake-pads-g80-m3-g82-m4-g87-m2?_pos=1&_psq=psi+pads&_ss=e&_v=1.0

BMW cheaped out so badly on their rear brakes. They should have gone with 4 piston rear calipers. Every other performance based sedan/coup from other manufacturers do this.

I'm a relative novice, here, but the majority of braking is done on the front rotors. If the rears are able to lock up the wheels and outlast the fronts in terms of overall wear and heat dissipation (they do on mine), why add cost, unsprung mass, and rotational inertia to a system that gains little to no benefit from it? This is two-fold for the driven wheels. When in doubt, I tend to assume that one of the best motorsport development teams in the market knows what they're doing. In contrast, it seems that the primary benefit of upgrading the rear's size would be that they'd look cooler.
