As a Romanian it looks delicious, no problem with the food being cooked by hand. Actually mici are better eaten by the hand, or, if you are a tight-ass, you can make a fork out of 2 toothpicks :)) The bird's nest looks particularly delicious, the name reminds me of my Italian heritage, there's a fried cheese sandwich called mozarella in caroza (mozzarela in caruta/mozzarela in a carriage), because the breat tends to bend around the melted cheese when fried. Among other translations into Romanian is Iles Flotante (floating island), a desert which is called in Ro lapte de pasare - bird's milk, what?! :)

My grandmother makes something very similar with roti canai in Romania, usually when is the fasting period before Easter for example. You can eat this in that period because it doesn't contains any animal product in it (like butter, egg, milk...). It looks the same and we eat them instead of bread. We called them Turte împăturate (Folded cakes).

I think it's roti canai egg & shallot😂, since some people doesn't recognize the red onion especially in the west, i don't know why the west give onion a different names like shallot,garlic and onion since us Malaysia just called it bawang merah(red onion/shallot), bawang putih(white onion/garlic) and bawang(normal onion/onion)😂😂😂
@ridzz
11 ай бұрын
Not shallots i believe. Usually it is the Indian big red onions are used. Shallots are "bawang kecik" if translated back to BM. There's the "bawang Holland" onion which is typically the one that is used in western dishes. The insides are whiter than the red Indian big onions. I guess they can use either one for the bawang in roti canai. But i suspect the Indian red onion is likelier to be used.
