I have hair loss from medication I have to take and I’ve found these things helpful - biotin supplements (just generic biotin is fine), using a detangling spray when you brush your wet hair so you don’t pull additional hair out with over enthusiastic brushing knots out, a detangling brush is sooo much better than a normal brush as they are so gentle, using a silk pillowcase when you sleep to help with breakage at night and finally, just being careful when you tie your hair up…not too tight and to help with breakage and pulling, I use the Invisibobble curly-type bands that don’t get stuck. I hope this might help a little bit xx

To Grace and anyone who sees this: I love collagen supplement for hair loss. Rosemary water you can make and spray on scalp or Rosemary essential oil with some type of carrier oil as a pre-treatment before washing your hair. Also of course, finding the right products depending on your hair texture, scalp type and hair porosity/hair elasticity. Hair loss is upsetting, so I hope this helps. ❤

@@louisewhite9152 Girl no problem. Hopefully it works, don't forget to mix it in with a carrier oil, whatever works for hair/scalp type. Or you can put it in your shampoo if you don't want to do a pre-treatment, I'm losing a lot of hair too unfortunately. Best of luck!

Hi, I also have been losing hair like crazy for more than 6 months now. I‘m surprised I still have hair left because whole strands have been falling out… Went to the Doc already but couldn’t find anything wrong :( I‘m really desperate. What is a carrier oil (I’m not English)?
@emmanuelleschultze6095
2 жыл бұрын
@@annika_27 Your English is very good. A carrier oil are oils used to dilute essential oils and “carry” them to your skin, because you cannot put essential oils directly on your skin due to the high concentration that could effect the skin. Carrier oils can break up the concentration, then they are easier to put on the skin.
Grace, smell evokes the most emotional connections! In psychology we just learned the reason why. Smell is the only sense that goes to the prefrontal cortex instead of the thalamus, forming emotional connections!! Merry Christmas 🎄

Apparently your hair falls out when your body has been through a lot of stress, from illness or just general worry. It's just because your body is prioritising getting you better, and your hair growth is the last priority so it falls out temporarily. It'll grow back, don't worry!

Hey Grace! For hair loss I recommend using satin scrunchies to tie up hair as they put less tension on the hair and reduce breakage + reducing any tight hair styles like high ponytails etc. I love Jamaican Black Castor Oil for hair strength, I use it as a pre-shampoo. Also use a shampoo/conditioner with no sulfates as these can dry out hair and cause breakage. I'd also really recommend the Tangle Teezer Wet Detangler Brush. Oh. My. God. Game changer. It puts 0 tension on your hair whilst you brush it and I've noticed I pull out less hair while using it (& I brush hair wet because mine is curly). I also really like to incorporate products with protein (e.g. a deep conditioning mask with protein) because this can help with re-building the bonds in the hair. Speaking of bond building, the Curlsmith Bond Salve is like Olaplex but more hydrating and better value for money! Finally, healthy hair starts at the scalp so make sure you are really thoroughly clarifying your hair maybe once every two weeks. You can use a scalp massager brush or a scalp clarifying kit (Flora & Curl have a variety of products in their scalp range, Umberto Giannini also have two really good scalp scrubs and its often on a deal) and this will hopefully help revitalise and strengthen the hair. The key is consistency with these types of hair treatments/changes in routine :)

epilator - brace for the pain and go! i used to epilate basically everything before i got an IPL, but you just have to pull the skin tight and go against the hair growth? so ie - up your legs. make sure your hair isnt too long though to get the best grip. also best not to use any creams before hand, you could soak in a warm bath before to open your pores too if you prefer! its weird but i use talc before on my under arms to remove all moisture xD and go slow over the area, which of course hurts, but seriously, the pain went away the more and more i did it! good luck!
