Thank you Lance! I love it a lot as far as I can say, it's just so darn easy to whip up a batch of beer and I never used a system that I can clean as quick a a regular BIAB brewery.

I, too, have the Base for my Braumeister 20L and I think it's the best accessory they make. I like the way it makes the BM the right height (for me) for removing the malt pipe, it catches drips when boiling with the lid in place, and it catches the water from the jacket when removing the hoses.

Thanks Stephen, thats exactly what I thought too. For me the height is perfect for doughin in and removing the grain basket too. Really excited about the LODO kit and the keg washer as well.

@@daveshopfenstube I also have the LODO kit! I have found that the water level needs to be at least 5mm above the malt pipe if you are going to use the "floating lid". Otherwise, as I found out, the pump has difficulty pushing the water through the top mesh, but instead forces out the mash at the top edge of the malt pipe, so you end up with some grains spilling over the side of the pipe. However, whether you use the "floating lid" or not, this kit does allow you to use a grist/grain bill up to nearly 7kg, rather like the BacBrewing "increase disc".

@@stephenlunn3049 Hmm interesting, it's hard to picture in my head how it works but I'll take a look at some (hopefully) existent video content about the LODO kit. Actually a good friend and the only national BJCP judge in Germany uses the BacBrewing disk and likes it. But it's great to hear that I can increase the malt pipe capacity with the LODO kit too.

I know I'm late to the party, but how's the efficiency of the cooling jacket, in your opinion? I own a much older model I bought in 2012, which only features an immersion chiller. This thing is sooo slow - raubt mir wirklich den letzten Nerv. ;-) Especially since I bought a Grainfather last year, and its counterflow chiller is so much better an more efficient.

Hey Axel, well the older versions chiller is definitely slower. I need around 30 minutes to get below 30C without using the pump but I reckon it’d be faster if I’d turn it on. I usually put my Jaded king cobra to use and that thing gets me to 2C above ground water temperature in about 10 minutes. So I think you could get away with just using the integrated chiller but I prefer the immersion chiller

Hi I’ve been brewing on my Braumeister 2021+ and I have a base as well and also the wort pump addition which helps me pump the wort into my fermenters. Also I use the BacBrewing expansion disk which helps to increase my grain volume. The only problem I have is with the software MySpeidel which won’t save any new recipes or any editing of recipes. Have you come across with this? The reply from Speidel is that they will pass onto IT and in meantime I can’t brew a new recipe for the last 2 weeks

Hey Stephen, that's a bummer. Do you edit / create the recipes on the Braumeister itself or do you use MySpeidel? The latter would be the best way to go IMO. I did not have this problem so far, but I create them on my PC on MySpeidel.com

I’m doing my recipes in Brewfather and then importing into MySpeidel which accepts but I have problems then saving the recipe Maybe a software issue where the Brewfather recipe format doesn’t quite mesh with the MySpeidel format

@@StephenCains-es6pr Aaaah, now I see! I also do my recipe design in Brewfather and when I exported it as beer XML it wouldn't work on MySpeidel. That was because I changed the file name on my computer. Since I stopped doing that, it works like a charm. Maybe you try that and see if it works. Otherwise I would try to just create a new account and reconnect your Braumeister with MySpeidel. Let me know if it helped!

Hi Dave. I think I may have found the problem as I tried to edit a recipe in MySpeidel and it wasn’t saving after just adding some rolled oats. So I deleted the ingredient and then re entered it into MySpeidel and this time I was able to save the recipe. The ingredients originally came into MySpeidel via Brewfather Also do you have any recipes in public view in MySpeidel?

The cooking stage is regulated by temperature or heating power in percent?

Sorry for the late response, it is regulated by temperature. Does work really well
