Here is the exercise I use to introduce how to double tongue to brand new "double tonguers." Yet I also give it to my college and professional-level students! It is especially helpful to discover and improve what you do with your back ("G" or "K") syllable.
After I introduce the exercise, I talk about how to choose whether you will say "TK" or "DG" when you double tongue. I talk about why "TK" is a more aggressive and sometimes clearer articulation, while "DG" is smoother and faster.
