Some very good info in this video about these devices - will definitely refer back to it. Atm I myself am not too worried about storage for my KZitem videos as (unlike my DAW projects) once I've rendered then compressed the file and am happy with it, I've had no need to keep the project, its components or the uncompressed file. Typically I've been able to reduce tens of Gb's into less than 1Gig and have plenty of space on an external Samsung T7 for ages... but of course that's just me doing KZitem vids. These devices would definitely come in useful should I need to keep a plethora of much larger files... I'd have to see how prices compare if / when that happens. +1👍

Everyone's needs are different. Pro Res, R3D and BRAW create large files. It is wise to have four copies total for client work. You can buy 12 TB and 22 TB hard drives for much less than SSD and when you consider you need four copies total the mechanical hard drives will be a much better storage (archiving) solution that using SSD in the year 2024.

@@TechTVusa Yep. Everyone's needs and budgets will be different. Mechanical drives are certainly more cost effective for those who need to keep such large files.
