Yes of course, but... guns often cause the escalation of violence. The US are the best ( or I should rather say, worst) example of this. The US is the country with the easiest acces to guns, and it is also, by far, the country with the most deaths from hand guns (and with the most mass shootings). Guns give you a false sense of security (and power), when they in fact put you in danger, a lot more danger than if you didn't have a gun.

There is also a great cameo by Brad Pitt as a stoner right before he became famous. Taritino is great at writing tense scenes as well as dialouge. Clarence is basically a loner rebel who tries to do right in a screwed up corrupt world. Also the set up with Balky at the end how he gets caught is great. Chris Penn does a great job as a cop as well in the film. Taritino was happy with this film compared to Natural Born killers which is more like a live action version of an anime cartoon then a Bonnie and Clyde story. I enjoyed Natural Born Killers but it does play more as a movie that is trying to basically play on pop culture or analyze the problem with it then more of a straight out gangster movie like Pulp fiction or True Romance a love story gone wrong. Killing Zoey is another film either inspired or written by Tartitino that is a great heist movie. In the 90s we got a lot of wild cult type films inspired by Pulp fiction. It was a great time for cinema.

The romance is supposed to be rushed. It is a parody of 'true romance' stories that have two people meet and fall in love unrealistically. Everything about the relationship is ridiculous. The marriage, killing Drexl, the cocaine and the surviving the various life-threatening situations. Apparently, in Tarantino's script, Clarence dies. It was supposed to be a subversion of the "happily ever after" trope but Tony Scott liked the character so he made a happy ending instead. Tarantino admitted that he enjoyed Scott's take and the film would have been radically different if he directed it. I don't know if he thought it was better than what he would have done but he liked it.
