Yeh, it's kinda insane how people treat ergonomics as one size fits all. You could watch a review for a chair, but without proper context for your unique situation, then its very hit or miss!

Love this video. Appreciate how informative this is. Wish there were more ergonomic chairs for shorter people at different price points

went from a leap v2 to this chair because my leap was wearing out and the bottom was getting too hard and I started to get that sciatic pain you talked about..... I saw this chair had a thicker pad then the leap and I didnt want to spend 1K this time. I found my Amia for 600$ brand new and I have to say Ive had it for 2 days now..... i dunno how I feel.... the back IS NOT as comfortable as the v2 but the bottom is better. The Amia is overall slightly smaller in size its made just as well as the leap v2. Its a very well made chair especially when you compare it to a 100$ costco chair. The Amia so far is super stiff compared to the Leap..... but maybe thats just cuz my leap is old now. I DUNNO!!! I kept the box and im trying to decide what to do.

hope you figure it out! I know its tough finding something works for you. I actually had the chair i use most now (the hag capisco) for almost a year before i started using it frequently. But now that I am used to it, I love it so much.definitely give it a week or two before you make a decision

@@FortifySTR Yeah after adjusting it for like 3 days I got it to be super comfortable. The small adjustements make a HUGE difference. It for sure helps me sit up strait. Its a solid chair that was worth the money. Im happy. The Leap is great as well this chair is just more picky about how you set up I think.

How wide is the wheel base? I know overall width is about 26ich but the bottom part of the chair looks a bit wider.

You should try Sayl too... it's amazing for shorter people too! Btw, the lombar support on amia vs leap couldn't be more different. They are similar only in appearance, but even the mechanism is different.

I'm a bit confused. You said the minimum height is 16 inches, but there's an option for 15 inches. I didn't see that option when I looked at seller websites. Is it adjustable to 15 inches or does Steelcase make it for 15 inches on the height?

Would you not recommend this chair for someone 6'2"?
@FortifySTR

it might be a little low to the ground (creating more hip flexion) and not high enough on the back (less support)

Why would you recommend Madison seating in the description? Take a look at their reviews. They are not brand new. Expect a decade old chair straight from the office decommission straight to your door (dust included).

I mentioned that it is a big risk, but I bought from them and got a pretty much brand new amia which came relatively quickly. I was hesitant to try them, but I am pleased I won the dice roll. Definitely buyer beware

Depends on a few things: If you have less than 21 inches from foot to the bend in the knee sitting should be fine. The seat back height might be a bit too short if you have a longer torso. If you are wider, the seat may be too narrow. Hope that helps!
